Breach boss map not made for non OP builds? Why the timer?

After a long time i finally got the 300 shards to try the breach boss for the first time.

Considering you have a lot of tries and considering the ritual boss was quite easy at base difficulty I decided to go for it without seeing any guides since that makes the experience always better.

Problem is apparently you can waste your 300 shards because you dont play a build that deletes everything it comes in contact with, especially when you get swarmed which is the norm for breach content.

I first check the map and find a place where you cant pass through so I assume you can only walk over it once the breach is activated, so I do that, start the breach, keep killing things until I reach the bridge part, I get into the structure and kill some more but eventually the time runs out and you are returned back at the start, no boss at all, no way to reactivate the breach, that's what the shard was for...

I am not sure the devs understand how disappointing that is for new players, especially when farming 300 splinters take a long time.

Is this content just made for sweats who play 24/7 and use builds that delete everything cuz it feels like it.
It really feels like this is something for poe1 rather than the slower poe2 gameplay.

Yep, that was bullshit in PoE 1 and it's even worse in PoE 2.

Fortunately, you can (or at least could in 0.1) cheat and use Blink to go past the spot where you were teleported back and eventually reach and fight the boss. However, the path up to the boss is invisible and so is the boss and the arena (which has it's own charm, ngl), so be sure you know what you do.
