Scavenged Plating - what happened to it?

After 0.2 I noticed that my armour / scavenged plating on my Titan doesn't appear to do anything. I've taken the gem out, put it back in, but no change to my armour - and I know I am breaking enemy armour.

It worked just fine before the 0.2 patch, but I'm curious if anyone else is using this skill and has it work like it did before.

Or am I the only one with this issue?

You now have to consume the broken armor to proc Scavenged plating.

DO you know how I do that? I don't see any way to do that, I must be missing something.

I didn't have to use Armor Breaker skill before 0.2 to have it work.

That's why i was confused.

the first comment mentioning "you have to consume it" is the most accurate response to my question.
