We trust you Jonathan - Skip the hate - Few changes and get a Master piece

I watched all poe 2 presentations since 2020 exilecon with johanthan playing and Chrish explaining:


Things can be game changing ez for the people need speed:

1- Travel Skills: Its time to introduce 1 travel skill per clash: Dash, Whirling Blades, flame dash etc... (more speed scale for the slam jump etc)

2- Quicksilver Flask: This now is so notorius, if you doesnt want more flask just introduce an sprint button, its simple.

With this 2 thing the action speed and the big maps problem will be solved, because big maps doesnt care too much if you can dash all map and use a speed flask or sprint

3 - Attack speed penalties on supports gem. The support gems cant scale anymore so remove penalties and all be nice.

4 - Better movement speed on boots during leveling to cross faster the big maps

5 - The loot of bosses can drop something to accelerate the campaign process. Speed movement like IMPLICIT on boots can help a lot too. instead be a prefix modifier on boots, because any want a good boot without speed movement.

6 - Haste aura for attack speed!!! We need that aura!

7 - Debuff a little the temporal chains now its too much


With this and better loot and have better damage on all skills the balance will be perfect to have an better experience without lost the real combat with dodges etc

Fix level design remove the clutter and dead ends and narrow passages everywhere.
Fix economy with everything inflating out of control.
Fix overtuned white mobs.
Stop overnerfing everything and focus on making as much stuff as possible playable.
Reward people for increasing the difficulty on their waystones consistently.
Make skills usuable for other classes without insanely high stat reqs.

There is no few changes fix, the game needs alot of work.
Although level design is the most pressing by far.

Why do you trust him? We don't know what's going on internally, maybe the recent stuff isn't his fault and he's been long advocating for positive change. But so many of the games current issues that have been present for years in POE 1 stem from flawed design decisions that are not evolving, they are not getting better. Someone on the design team is making the same poor design choices over and over again and it is plaguing this game.

Someone on that team needs to step up and figure out how to deliver challenge AND FUN. Someone on that design team gets off on punishing the player and forcing people to play how they think they should. Someone on that design team is designing the game for themselves, and not the playerbase at large.

Somewhere out there is a designer who enjoys challenge and also enjoys gameplay that the majority of players would too. That person needs to be found and empoered to get this game out of its rut.

It's really nuanced. I'm not sure flasks are where we want to place speed. It just makes people micromanage potions and swap them out all the time which doesn't sound fun to me. Better to just inject more interesting routes for getting movement speed elsewhere.

Overall I agree though, they need more interesting and fun mechanics on items.

Jonathan seems extremely set in his ways with little wiggle-room. The Ziz interview unmasked a lot, often just outright saying "I didn't have that problem" as if evidence from a single person (who knows the underlying hidden mechanics of the game, mind you) is enough to refute thousands of players experiences.

I doubt they will change the atlas enough in 2 for me to like it, and If I don't like the endgame I won't bother playing.

After .2 and the Ziz interview, PoE 2 is dead to me.

I do not like the person hate towards the man. His best friend and him made a lot of yalls favorite game. Literal gamer friend dream goals. In your eyes he might be unmaking your favorite game now but hes a proven chef that deserves time to cook. I played LE, have D4, really liked No Rest FTW(Actual Souls like ARPG) but I think POE2 is the best iteration of this game play by far.

I don't think they want to risk pulling assets from poe 2 because of the work it needs but also if they started to do regular updates/leagues for POE 1 the player count on 2 would be noticeably affected. Like just give POE 1 back its league cycle of 3-4 leagues a year and who cares about poe 2. Like the people who love the POE 2 shitfest can keep it at that point, and give use "braindead" one button built people back league cycles and you wont have to hear us complain about poe 2.
Yes but is more complicated than that on Businees terms. When you create 2 products and PoE 2 have better "skin" now your community is divided and reclute new fans.

Now you must take care of PoE 1 and still development with success PoE 2.

I think they need to grow up their Wage Cost and reclute more workers for the second project and have some trainers of the one who has success.


Now you cant go back so be brave and ampliate the team

I love the idea to work on PoE 2 here in Spain and help to grow up the mark
