Server Hiccups

I have times where the game runs fine, then I have moments where I get constant lag hiccups.

I've looked the problem up and other Player's report the same issue and state it's due to high traffic volumes on servers. Not fun when I try to record or stream and the game just starts lag hiccupping and people think something is wrong with my computer when it's the servers at fault.

I don't have this problem with Last Epoch. I remember playing Diablo 2 in the year 2000 on 56k dialup and I had a better internet experience than what is presented with POE2 at times, and I do not understand the why of it?

Why does Path of Exile II have to be so dependent on the internet to function? What is this game client doing?

I like POE2 but there are some serious flaws, getting to the point where I'm going to play something else to have a smoother experience that doesn't irritate me.

This is only one aspect of the game that really bothers me as an early access supporter.

Same here. Get 2 seconds stutter lag and then kicked circa every 3 minutes. Found items get deleted. Maps are reset. Game is unplayable today, sadly.
Yes, me too. Today seems worse than the last few days. Last Epoch players already returning and clogging the servers? ;-)

Edit: Seems like there are a couple similar threads in the Bugs section.
The issue seems to affect all regions.

I tried switching from Frankfurt to Amsterdam, but no improvement.

Even playing on Washington (from the UK), though there are no disconnects, my latency stability still fluctuates between 100 - 300 every couple of seconds and is pretty unplayable some days.

No other online game I play is so sensitive, including fighting games which you can feel any hiccups the most - why exaclty is this non-PVP isometric game so finnicky with its online? Clearly needs some serious optimising.

I just wanted to state that I played POE2 this morning and did not experience any lag hiccups. This is clearly a server issue with too much traffic.
