My problems with current skill gem system

Some things I dislike about current skill gem system:

1. It is difficult to alter behaviour of some skills.
For example with rolling slam I would like to be able support only the second slam with exploit weakness, so the first slam doesn't consume broken armour. The second slam is much stronger so of course I want to consume broken armour with it, not the first one. Currently it is impossible.

2. Some skills have built-in effect which:
- feels like railroading
- using these built-in effects sometimes is very difficult, and if I don't utilize them, then it feels like I am not using whole skill's power.

For example: Sunder's guaranteed crit on consuming armour. I don't get to make choice to use mechanic with broken armour, I MUST use mechanic with broken armour. If my other skills don't interact with crits and my build doesn't really invest into crits then I feel like Sunder is bad skill for my build even if I like theme and feel of Sunder. One of my builds cannot break armour at all(non-warbringer with avatar of fire and rare weapon).
Same thing with updated Arc. What if I want to shock enemies with Arc?
Same thing with consuming parry statys on spear skills. They all generate frenzy charge, but what if I don't use frenzy charges?

IMO these built-in effects should be extracted into support gems while making variations of these support gems. For example Exploit weakness might have different variations:
- more damage
- crit related stuff
- something else

3. I don't like how some spells became basic attack equivalent and can only be used with certain base types. I really want to use shock nova with Mjölner

STILL BETTER THAN PURE RNG IF YOU FIND THESE NEW ORBS FOR SOCKETS OR NO . IN POE 1 WE GOT GUARANTED DROPS FOR FUSINGS AND JEWELLERS ON MAPS , THERE WAS TONS OF THEM AND EVERYONE , I SAID EVERYONE COULD HAVE 6 LINK NOW OR LATER . IN POE 2 WE GOT RNG , SO LESS PEOPLE CAN HAVE 6 LINK CAUSE SOMEONE CAN PLAY 10 MAPS AND FIND PERFECT JEWELLER , AND ANOTHER GUY CAN PLAY 100 MAPS AND DONT FIND IT :D ITS STUPIDIEST SYSTEM I EVER SAW IN GAMES. POE 2 IS MAKING NEW RECORDS WITH BAD DESIGNED THINGS. IM OUT
Nah, in PoE1 it is also difficult to get 6 link. It just comes with wrist pain from clicking fusings 1000 times. Yeah, you can buy corrupted 6 link, but usually it is trash and you basically trade body armour for 6 link.
Also in PoE2 6 linking is less important due to more situational supports unlike in PoE1 where 6 must be acquired as fast as possible since it is one of the biggest power spikes.
