Suggestion: Orb of Annulment change
Hi,
Orb of Annulment is not distinct enough. It is lacking a purpose without Sinistral and Dextral Omens in my opinion. Basically you'll only need to use it if the affixes are full and you want to slam with Exalt Omens. Here's my suggestion: Current: Removes a random modifier from an item Suggestion: (edit: reworded for better readability) Downgrades the item rarity, removing random modifiers from the item. Has a chance to destroy the item Now the Orb of Annulment can be used to revert Regal, Transmutation, Essence and etc crafts to an item, to be tried again, if lucky. It is akin to rerolls, but given the chance to destroy items, it makes sure new bases are constantly needed. Omen change suggestion included: Omen of Greater Annulment -> Omen of Lesser Annulment -> removes only 1 modifier (edit: does not downgrade rarity) Omen of Sinistral/Dextral Annulment -> Will only remove all prefix/suffix modifiers (unless paired with Omen of Lesser Annulment of course) That's it. Have fun! PS: Originally I was thinking this would be an Orb of Scouring suggestion, but it made to me more sense to be an Orb of Annulment change.
Spoiler
edit: I've previously made an opinion post about Orb of Chances, where I made a suggestion to change it in a way it would behave a bit like this suggested Orb of Annulment, except in the reverse direction. Even if I do say so myself, I think these two suggestions would pair well together, by giving players more agency over their crafts.

I'd prefer if they worked like they do now, but always removed the lowest tier mod (random is case of draws) ^^;

" meh, this enables Annul + Exalt slams until we get all maximum tier rolls. Then again, we have Omen of Whittling that does exactly this with Chaos Orbs. I do wonder why the Omen is not a problem currently. I'm so accustomed to thinking that no matter the cost, if there is a way, it will be done. Last edited by Celd#2630 on Apr 22, 2025, 5:07:24 AM
