Make POE complex again.

[Removed by Support]
Im gonna run for... Make path of exile complex again.

Consider this half joke - half real.

I have been what other games like last epoch or diablo crafting methods are...
And thats not even crafting.

Crafting is what we do in POE 1. As complex as it is. Is beautifull. Really beautifull.

It wasn't even complex to be fair. It slowly added new options over gameplay time, it never dumped 10 crafting systems on you at the start of the game. Same complaint about speed. People need to stop comparing their experience to streamers gameplay

If this post is about bringing PoE1 crafting system in PoE2 - you have my vote.
Right now it's a slot machine. Sure they're trying, but WHY if the prefect system was already made.. and by the same (I suppose??) people.

PoE1 crafting is half the reason i stopped playing PoE1.

it's a crutch and takes the whole value out of actually getting loot drops outside of chase uniques in deep endgame.
There are 2 sides here

in poe1 after about day 2-3 i basically have any item i would wear turned off except bases i might equip. But i never look at them i just use them in rotating tabs to sell stuff

occasionally i notice a thing i would sell is better than what i am wearing.

Then i go and buiy the items i want.

I dont play enough or have the inclination to us the shitty trade system to buy the materials i need to craft.

My approach is so effective that even with the new vendors i havent really crafted because if i am going to trade ... i may as well trade ... and i deeply reesent having to do that because if i wanted to deal with people as a side hussle i would turn that into my job ...

I don't think the game and progression is fast enough for me to play SSF.

I made a post years before the exalt/divine change saying it was a good idea to do. For items off the floor to have value we need to be able to identify the ones we migth want easily and then have tools to manipulate them.

right now there are too many items on the floor and no way to filter to mods i care about

and ... crafting currency is so scarce that even if i did have enough useful bases to work with i wouldnt have enough currency.

So i trade ....

I dont have time nor inclination to go really hard nor commit more time.
It needs to work whilst being fun for casuals

Not really. Only if you use trade to get what you need for your crafting project, and THAT is a trade-related thing and not an issue "crafting" created.

Here is an example:

To craft this item, you need the right base first.
In this case, it's the "Necrotic Armour". If it drops without "Hunter" or "Elder" influence, you need an orb from a boss to add "Hunter Influence" or you add any influence and try to swap it with harvest to "Hunter" or "Elder".

So, getting the base alone adds value to "ground loot".

Then you need a second "Body Armour" with the missing "Influence", and if you have both, you need to roll the two "Influenced Mods" you want.

Then you need to "Awakener Orb" the one base onto your "Necrotic Armour" to get both "Influenced Mods" on one item.

This step can "brick" the item, filling it with mods you don't want.
And even if you use methods to remove these unwanted mods, you can "brick" it with this step too.

If it broke - you need to start again.

So, as long as you haven't crafted the BiS item - ground loot stays relevant.
And that goes for all of your gear slots, you can craft stuff for.

GGG want your crafting to take up inventory space , so any further crafting will require stash tabs
