Jamanra

I'm sorry but this boss has made me give up. I was quite happily enjoying the campaign, thinking I was clearing fine and then absolute stonewall. I've tried to defeat this boss on so many toons and I just can't break them.

Yes, I know it has weaknesses and all the same as other bosses do but no matter what I can't do it.

So, I'm out. I'm just not playing it because frankly, this has ruined my experience of the game.

Bye
My man, Jamanra the bro is a hard boss. If you can't do it you have several choices:

1 - improve your character: with higher lvl of gems, better passive gems, gear and passive tree.

If you think you did every thing you could with your character but still enable to kill the boss you have two options:

1 - trading for a new weapon on the web site and annihilate the boss.

2 - ask for someone in chat to help you to kill the boss.

Thanks man, appreciate the genuine reply, rather than a pathetic "bye" from a junked up muppet, at least you're giving support :)

Don't get me wrong, I've played POE1 since 2014 and POE2 since December. I know fine well that I will go back to this boss but I've tried it SO many times today and it's become so frustrating.

Shouldn't really have to go farm for the base level campaign in that way because the campaign should progress "naturally" to that point - drops and gear excepted, of course.

But I will give it another try.
i don't think farming can help you at this point of the game there isn't so much things to farm except for higher gem lvl if you're not already capped by your character level.

Anyway, since you know the game it should be fine for you, GL :)

To be fair the bye was deserved because you said you were leaving, not that you wanted advice.

But if you're wanting advice, along with what the other guy said: Lightning resist, as close to 75% as you can get, with a topaz charm to fill any gap. Life flask with as many charges as you can get/charge gain over time. And of course, don't stand in bad things.

I opened a thread about this boss because i also thought i couldn't beat him. Then i beat him on the first retry by replacing my spells from lighting to ice spells.

I feel you, man. I almost quit both in A2 and A5, because of him. I went back and farmed for a bit. Ultimately, what worked for me was respecing my class completely, into armor gear, ice attack, and 75 lit res. But, you really shouldn't have to do that for 1 early boss, I think.

I think going forward, that will be my strategy to deal with him in future campaigns, but honestly, I would be happy if they scrapped the campaign. I get that they worked hard on it, but it's just not very good, from a gameplay perspective and from a story perspective, IMO. :\
get some lightning resist (you might be able to buy a topaz charm from the wand vendor)

and look into a weapon upgrade either from gambling at Risu or just do a few runs of the spires of deshar.

the rest is just a matter of patience... a flask with "gain X charges per second" can help for some people on longer bosses because it'll give you a heal back every minute or so.
