Then you missed the presentations leading up to EA. Slower, more methodical gameplay was the name of the game. If you set your expectations on something from '19 that has since been clarified, you set yourself up for failure homie.

Yeah... "clarified" years later, you know, after they took the money from their supporters, who supported them for something else advertised.

Did they stop supporting PoE1 in the interim? Because if they did then you'd have a point. Otherwise enough of the pearl clutching and consider moving on to another game if you honestly feel that cheated. They said what they were making and if you bought in, it's on you.

Bruh... yes... they literally paused developing PoE1 because they needed the PoE1 devs for their PoE2 mess. Why do you think the last PoE1 league released 2024-07-26?
You know what they said?
"PoE2 will be the 4th PoE1 expansion, with visual updates, improved systems, and a second campaign, while everyone else (no matter the campaign selected) will end up in the same endgame of PoE1."
THAT was advertised from 2019 to 2023.
So your "They said what they were making and if you bought in, it's on you." nonsense doesn't make any sense. Ppl "bought in" for 4 years, and then GGG changed their mind.
And that wouldn't even be a major issue IF PoE2 were just "modernised PoE1", but it's not.

People were complaining about it being slower for years after it was presented and even if that hadn't been the case, GGG doesn't owe you or me an explanation on what their game should be. I can go online and find posts about it from two years ago if that would ease your conscience though.

What has this to do with anything? It's about what GGG said they were doing and what they did.

GGG 100% said before the game was released what they were doing in like 50 interviews. Its no one else's but your own fault for not listening.
POE 2 WILL NOT be POE 1...the sooner you realize this the more fun you can have or the quicker you will leave.

That's not mutually exclusive. In fact I thought the implication was clear but evidently not. Yes I am also talking about what GGG said and what they showed.

Ok buddy.
GGG advertised PoE2 as PoE1 expansion in 2019, then took 4 years the money and told ppl "It's not an expansion anymore, it's a separate game" in 2023, and even then they don't said "It will be a different game (not PoE, only in name)", until 2024 shortly pre EA release... and you think that's ok because you don't know better... gotcha.
