I have 119% magic find + atlas magic find nodes, extra rares on my maps, sometimes my maps and tower tablets have magic find. It doesn't drop for me. Not even Greater Jeweller's Orb.

damn, guess i just got a little lucky then. Lets hope this also gets a boost with the next patch focusing loot ! :O

+1 that these can be more common.
I’d personally be in favor of one account bound seeded drop for each of them per character. Eg act 6 gives a greater jeweler’s orb and after the first T5 map or after hitting lvl 70 Doryani gives you a perfect jewelers orb
May I remind you of the Chinese bot farms, that have bots that run around, do quests and level up instead of you.
And even humans are not that expensive, so having people create and level characters 24/7 will flood the black market...
The drop chance is the problem.
