Update runes to be added to Sceptres.
Strictly having it be tailsmans is a bad decision. Everything else so far can pretty much do both. It was not made clear enough in the patch notes and you can add a socket/waste an orb as early as Act 1 and not get Tailsmans until endgame. It really needs the diversity especially with Rabbit being price so extremely high.

Sceptres are designed to be used for support/minion based builds. The fact they are used right now as personal buff sticks is an unavoidable design due to how they are set up. Talismans only really applying buffs towards that design is a good thing in my opinion, and if they were to add runes to them theh should continue with that philosophy.

Consistency is a major factor. They had already done this with other items so I see no reason not for Sceptre. Another issue is them not being clear with that in the patch notes, wasting an orb early to find out it does effectively nothing is not great. There is nothing wrong if you want to use Sceptres as either support/minion or buffing your character, different playstyles is always good. In my opinion the options are to either make the runes function similar to wand/staves, a new stat on the runes that corresponding to the design philosophy of Sceptres or a hybrid of both. E.g. Rune that grants extra fire damage 8% would apply to minions or the hybrid would be 4% for yourself and your minions.

I really expected a rune to give a bonus to spirit, but they really dont want to give us more options do they

Rabbit Tailsman provides spirit but it is ridiculously priced at the moment. That's why they need to add other options. I understand that it's the chase socketable but providing diversity especially early to help with power is good.

I need a Rabbit Tailsman bad to finish a new build so I can keep playing the game but I guess I’ll have to wait till next league I can’t afford 200 divines.
