Gap between the Amazon and other builds

I just can't guys...
I played minions and gave up in early white maps. I didn't want to play what everyone else is, i.e. Amazon and LS so I decided to try Tactician. Beast taming looked really cool and there is synergy between their and the players damage. When I started, I tried different skills and settled on... LS. nothing else cleared so well. I thought, ok, maybe I'll do something around beasts and LS. Then the realisation - it's impossible to make beast do any meaningful damage so they are basically just a cosmetic pet. You can make them take some damage for you or apply an aura or a status on an enemy, that's it. Investment in them is only as good as the return due to the node that makes increases to companions damage apply to player. But then.. I checked all those juicy accuracy nodes and how well I could scale from them if I was... yes, Amazon. The gap between what the Amazon and the rest can do is so vast it removes any joy from experimenting with builds. Just check the POE2 Ninja. You applied many patches post 0.2 but you must address this issue or most of the players will leave to LE. Myself included. I don't want to play Last Epoch. Want to play POE2. Game is in such a shit state right now I might go clean my yard or paint the garage. Pretty fuckin sad

" There will always be some builds that are vastly superior to others. Your post is the best example of why i find the "build diversity nonexistant" threads funny. They kid themselves with the fact that even if the diversity of builds were as deep as a black hole, majority of people would still still look for the strongest/ best/ easiest build to play. And you yourself are a prime example of that. The simple fact of LS being the best deters you from the fact to play something weaker but more maybe more fun. |

" there is so much stuff to enjoy about this game, if you are into this game. fun combat, rather in-depth theorycraft despite nowhere being 1.0, and such. why you need to play "the best" when it's no fun to you? i'm having so much fun i can't get enough, i simply don't care about what other ppl play. i play my own stuff that is fun to me. being a unicorn is not a bad thing mate. nobody forces you to play "the best" :D just play what is fun to you, it will change everything :-) gl hf! edit: haven't tried companions myself yet. but there's a unique that allows you to have 2 companions of different types at the same time. and i guess there's more companion-related stuff that i don't know off too. pls -add "Advanced Targeting System" to the options so we can disable accessibility-stuff -fix skills w/o movement to NOT MOVE YOU when using Attack Without Moving i.e. Ice Strike -rework: enemies instant-spells = math-game || very unfitting for meaningful combat cuz can't avoid with skill thx <3 Last edited by Naztrey#9177 on Apr 16, 2025, 11:04:40 AM
