suggestion for the wisps mechanic

Ive seen many talk about the wisps and how they get ganked and swarmed and i agree with this

since you have to chase the wisp and the limited time you have before it gets pissed at you and yeets itself of the map if youre not fast enough at killing all the mobs swarming you, you end up having to just run away until the wiasp decides to hunt a rare mob

thus you create a tail of mobs and sometimes other rares that will then swarm you

how about instead of the wisp speeding straight for the rare and only giving you like 5 secns to deal with any swarming mobs around you
instead it would maybe stop by itself if theres to many mobs around it and wont move on until youve killed those mobs
maybe even show a ring of presance that if you leave that area it will consider the wisp a fail and itll dissapear

so to simplify

you find wisp - you follow for a short bit - kill enemies to progress - do this maybe 3 times - then you fight the hunted rare mob

then theres much less risk of having a swarm follow you so you can actually focus on the demi boss rare


i did notice this is kinda just like how abyss works from poe1

I'd say the wisp should follow the player, this way the player has a choice where to go, straight to rare, or "grow" wisps power by feeding it non-rares. Just would make sense.

Wisp would simply disappear if you do not feed it a rare mob after like 2 min or something.

less simular to abyss but still fixes the problem
