Inconsistent Requirement for Wind Dancer – Unarmed Builds Excluded
Wind Dancer is tagged as a Melee skill, and the game itself defines melee attacks as scaling from Weapon or Unarmed damage. Yet, the skill can’t be used unless you equip a martial weapon. This feels inconsistent and unnecessarily punishing to unarmed builds.
Since unarmed is clearly part of the melee archetype, Wind Dancer should work with it too. Please consider removing the martial weapon requirement. ![]() Last edited by fatih4915#0193 on Apr 15, 2025, 10:21:38 PM Last bumped on Apr 16, 2025, 8:03:53 AM

Waiting for this change. Can't use heralds on my Concoction build, which feels odd because they feel required.

" I get where you're coming from, but i think Herald skills requiring a martial weapon actually makes sense for balance reasons. Removing that requirement would make them accessible to every class, including spell casters, which could lead to some unintended power shifts. Wind Dancer, on the other hand, doesn't have the same kind of impact. It’s more of a defensive layer tied to melee combat, so restricting it to weapon users feels unnecessary. |
