"Crafting system" Is Bad (Horrible)
I have tried my best to "craft" in this game.
In 100+ hours I have gathered 300+ bases and thrown 300+ essences, got nothing out of it. I have went to trade website and bought bases for recombinator, opting for moderate risk of using t2/t3 grade (from top) affixes, and having 13% for 2 suboptimal affixes to hit together, I have spent more divines and time on 25 recombinations with no success. Ok, I thought, there are fracturing orbs, you can fracture one stat, and another roll with annuls or chaos? Or so I thought, I managed to hit fracture, but I could never roll even a single good second stat on an item. Burning 10 divines on chaos orbs, it all went into nothing pretty fast. I have enjoyed crafting in poe 1 (eldritch in particular). But this is beyond bad, I don't see a point to play a game further where you cannot craft, and all shitty upgrades are coming to people from trade/rmt. Last bumped on Apr 15, 2025, 12:14:04 PM

Game stops being fun once you realize your only objective is to farm currency to buy items in trade site since dropping good gear is harder then dropping a divine orb

Funny thing is, since crafting is so horrible/non-existent, it just shines a spotlight directly onto the item trade system. And guess what? Item trade is horrible
So many stories of price fixers, bots that don't respond, can't trade when offline, can't trade if you get a message in middle of a boss fight/important objective sometimes, SC and HC items are mixed for some weird reason when already filtered (meaning you cant trade with players in diff leagues obviously), players raise the price after you message and go to their base (wasted time), players low ball your item price after messaging and teleporting to your base (wasted time again), blah blah blah. Same problems, but 0.2.0 has exacerbated them. I am losing so much hope and trust in GGG that this game will succeed come full launch. It's not a crafting system, people really need to stop calling it that. It's a gambling system, and the house always wins.

" Even a dead clock is right twice a day. I'm at Act3 venom lady that is a way over tuned fight, she was bad enough in 0.1 but in 0.2 with crap gear from Act 1 still and non existing currency drops i cannot "gamble"(I've had ZERO orbs that upgrade from magic to rare and I've had about 6ex in total) my way to better gear since i have had almost zero decent drops. So now I'm stuck on a boss fight that is stupid and crap still covers the damn screen in crap in her last phase with no room to dodge it. These devs are F wits, this game is becoming less and less fun. Their meaningful combat and gear is a complete and utter bad joke and doesn't translate well into a ARPG as it's punishing peoples time and effort. Trying to slow people down to make it look good to tencents shareholder more like, ggg are becoming more and more like activsion blizzard each day.
