Alright, boys and girls,[Removed by Support] let’s talk about why 0.2 is an absolute disaster of a patch. Endgame? DEAD. There is NO endgame. Zero. Nada. Everything that used to matter has been gutted, trashed, or made irrelevant. Trials? Worthless – Adorned, Shields, Soul Cores: deleted. Breaches? Pointless – Metamorphosis and HoWA: deleted. Altars? Who cares – Belt: deleted. Sehemas? Don’t bother – Temporalis, Timelost, Grand Spectrum: deleted. Arbiter? Why even try – Regalia’s a joke, and Prisms of Belief are 99% vendor trash unless you're playing one of the three working builds (hello to LS Amazon ladder). Wanna do expeditions? Cool, maybe you’ll get your useless Tragedy or a garbage flask at 30 run. Delirium? Good luck not dying on T4, and if you do survive 150 runs, enjoy your garbage megalomaniac (because yeah – flasks are dead). All that’s left? Mind-numbing mapping for base items and gambling at the bench like a degenerate. Amazing design. Builds for Peanuts (No Progression, No build versatile) Because endgame is nonexistent and like 90% of classes are nerfed into oblivion, every build peaks at 100 divines. That’s it. After that, it’s just sad attempts to squeeze out 1% more damage. There’s no real scaling, no depth, no progression, no versatility. Huntress or Busted (aka The Diversity is Lie) Unless you’re playing Huntress, your build is hot garbage. Don’t believe me? Pathfinder? Crushed. Infernalist? Buried six feet under. Kitava? Act-only meme. Sorcerers? Completely lost – spell skills are a graveyard. Almost 90% of players are stuck on Amazon, rotating between the same 3 goddamn builds. Everyone else – Deadeyes, Legionnaires, Liches – are dragging their sorry asses through “endgame” praying for divines. Zero Defense mechanics There is literally one form of defense left: offence Whoever designed evasion, block, and armor was either high. Armor? Doesn’t work. At all. Evasion? Works... sometimes. Block/Parry? Absolute joke. Good luck “parrying” 50 charging mobs in a T16 Breach. (Yes, Jonathan, go ahead and show us how it’s plays on high end content) MoM? Half-baked. CI without MoM and Grim Fist? You’re just asking to die. They removed life nodes. So now you’re forced to build ES/evasion hybrids on literally every class. Nothing else functions. Thresholds Are a F*ing Joke What kind of dev team looks at barely-working threshold mechanics and goes, “Yeah, let’s nerf that”? Infinite stuns? Permanent freezes? FUN, RIGHT? There’s NO counterplay.Charms? And when those run out? Enjoy your 150% buildup affix maps and get ready to alt-F4. Passive Tree = Cluttered Trash The tree is a bloated, unreadable mess. Most nodes are garbage. Want to get to anything useful? Good luck pathing across the entire solar system. They even not bothered to fix damn search. 0.1 was a mess but there is was more usefull passives because alot of techs worked. For now, well, if GGG decide to delete left side of passive tree no one notice that. The only thing that works is crit. That's all. Removing sockets killed dozens of unique jewels and nuked countless builds. And don’t even get me started on the warrior tree. It's like GGG has an actual vendetta against melee players. Difficulty? Don’t Make Me Laugh. Standing still for a full minute to kill a white mob is not difficulty – it's mental torture. The acts? They're a 25-hour tutorial that teaches you nothing, where: Mobs take 10 years to die. You have no gear. No skill gems. And your class might be an unplayable gimmick. Tell me again where the “challenge” is. I see trash design, plain and simple. So go on, fanboys — let’s hear your excuses now. How are you gonna spin this one? Wow OP, you did such a good job here being constructive and objective that I've finally realized how wrong I've been all along! Thanks to you I realized I haven't actually been having fun while playing I've just been brainwashed by GGG!

Also, I do not understand why tactical combat is a thing in ARPG?
Players always upgrade to overpower mobs. Up to the point when players oneshot everything. Do you want to prevent lv90 players zooming in Clearfell? Why do you cap the difficulty at T18? Now because overpowered characters will eventually 1-shot mobs, how the fuck do Melees compete with projectile-based classes? Make projectiles an utility-only, like the bow in Elden Ring; or delete Melees. It will save you tons of time balancing. |

I want to defend it but maan this is hard. Every point you made is right unfortunately. This is their fault if they didn't treat the game like EA, they act like game is "ready lets go LEAGUES, pay other streamers for hype lets make big patches only start of leagues". No one is gonna complain about problems and lack of endgame like this if they just leave the players alone and test the things like an actual EA. They should just act like "okey we are in EA but remember EA don't expect the full game and perfect game but we're gonna make changes every week after your feedbacks".

I'm sure this is a great thread, you seem to know a thing or two (maybe too many things), except I'm a casual just having a nice time on hardcore ssf, trying to learn all the mechanics and figure out what's available. all that map mumbo-jumbo can fuck off until I get there, if I manage to get there without dying this time.

" “It’s Early Access” is the laziest excuse imaginable. This game’s been in EA for almost half a year, and the devs still treat it like it just launched yesterday. The funniest part? When people were duping Temporalis like crazy, the guy responsible for fixing it was streaming Tarkov, while chat was literally screaming at him to fix the exploit. And what did he say? “Nah, it’s Friday. I’ll check it on Monday.” I’ve played a TON of EA games over the years, and this one takes the cake for having devs who genuinely don’t give a damn and clearly don’t even play their own game. Alex, Mark, and Jonathan straight up admitted they only played a little couch co-op and never touched actual uber-endgame content. Jonathan even said he "tested" patch 0.2 by running a Huntress through the first three acts — that’s it. No endgame, no high-tier builds, no balance understanding. And that’s exactly why 0.2 is a disaster. They nerfed everything into the ground without even knowing how the endgame flows, how progression feels, or what’s left for players to do. They just slapped a bunch of changes together and said, “Looks good enough.” What about altars tablets? They litteraly added into game and not bothered to test it. After that, when people found how to use it...they got banned for litteraly added game mechanic. it's not even exploit, common mechanic when you put tablets into towers. I dont agree with the wording, but the essence of the post is relatable as heck. Playing Impending doom lich, with decent gear, having like 50k dps. While spear wielders deal 33 milion damage with one button and its not like their clear is bad... its even better. |

Im totaly with you. I realy wanted to like this game. But after i habe pushed the 5th char to engame i lost my hope this is going to be tje right game for me.
I realy hoped to get a nice non zoomie poe with hard aspects. But the acts feel lile chores without reward and the endgame makes me question why i should suffer. As you said, there are 2 or 3 builds that crushbthe meta and the rest is complete garbage. Whenever i try to make a build by my own i realice, that ere is only one build that works quiet well or the class is complete trash. I refuse to play LS-Huntress but i cant find a build that gives me hope to clear endgame. It feels like jonathan and mark never played this game enough to understand the weakpoints. And on the other hand there are so many problems with mechanics that wont work right. Aka armor. In 0.1 i build a 60div armor based titan and it was complete garbage! Biggest waste of time in my life. Now i feel the same with NON LS-Huntress. I wish jonathand and mark would take a break from deving and play 0.2 für ~80 hours just to feel the crap they did. Most shocking moment was that jonathan didnt even could say how long he takes for the campaign. So in my wolrd this sounded like they have no cloue about what it feels to play poe2 as a player. Sure if i just test specific areas with coded builds it could be fun. But not if you do this by your own. And absolututely not on more than one char. |
