Lockstep, major issues, causing FPS drops, slow feeling (Add Predictive back?)

Hello,

I have been playing POE 1 for a very long time, and have always used predictive mode in the networking options, because Lockstep feels so much worse.

However, in POE 2, I noticed there is no option to choose what mode you play in. I have done extensive testing with my frame rates, and realized that I am getting considerable frame drops... i.e. 102, down to 24 frames during fights in PO2. I switched all sorts of settings in the graphics, I went from dx11, dx12 to vulcan, I swithced beteween each fsr, nis, etc that was possible, with all combinations fo this on, that off, etc. I turned down every possible setting to get my computer to run it at thee highest fps, uncapped.

So... I tried controller, my fps drops in combat are from 102-65. I remember hearing in an interiew that controller had some sort of hybrid predictive mixed with lockstep?

Just wondering when we might get a chance to play the game with PREDICTIVE, as I am starting to think this might be a major cause of issue for a lot of people who like POE1. Your internal testing would rarely have major issues with Lockstep, as your connection to the servers would be phenominal in comparison to the majority of your player base. This might account for not only issues in lag, but the slow feel that we are all experiencing, the lack of reaction timing, etc.

Either way, Predictive mode, at least, as an option would be a wonderful inclusion from the original game.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

TL/DR: Lockstep = bad fps drops, not so many with controller which might be hybrid? Give us Predictive back?

I have also had problems with this. The only thing I can think of that is different between poe1 and poe2 is not being able to choose predictive mode. When I go back and play poe1 with lockstep on, it is similar to the unplayable state of poe2. For reference I'm choosing anything that automates like totems/minions as gameplay styles in poe2 because I would stutter to hard to perform any combos or time any dodging.

Please bring predictive to poe2.
Well, I hope someone looks into this, I really think that fixing the lag, or including predictive in some way would really help remove a lot of the current issues.
Can I please get a reply to this?
