Rare Appreciation Post: Tower changes are TITS
I haven't seen it talked about much and that surprises me.
Being able to slot THREE tablets per completed tower instead of having to meticulously path over the "worst" maps to three near by towers, to juice a similarly sized area with the same amount of tablets is an AMAZING improvement. Add to that, now you only need to run ONE tower instead of THREE. Also, the tower experience is overall better now and I like how there is actually and incentive to use a 6-affix stone on a tower rather than just popping in normal T1 to get it out of the way. Since there are mechanics, you don't fee like you're necessarily wasting a high tier stone on it either. You can still just do 6-affix T1 stone if you want to do it fast, but also who wants to put that level of investment into a T1? Right? So it self incentivizes using a high tier stone as well. Lastly, due to the 3 tabs per tower change, there are rarely (if ever?) towers in range to be affected by other towers, so you don't have to worry about applying tablet mechanics to other towers in general. Idk, with all the hate that's been going on regarding the base 0.2.0 changes, this one was a MASSIVE W in my book. I agree with this so hard!
I really think GGG focused almost all of their effort for 0.2 in to the end game and it's massively better now! I can't wait to see what they cook up for 0.3 and even more so for the full release! |
