GGG needs to STOP TEMPORAL CHAINS mod

the game is pathetically slow enough, Temporal Chain in poe2 is easily the most frustrating annoying and irritating mapping experience I've ever had.

It's a disgusting mod, not a difficult mod, but just something that makes the whole experience that goes from 8 to a 2.

I didn't like it at first, but I can appreciate that it finally makes the "reduce slowing potency of debuffs" nodes way more relevant (on the passive tree).

Its troll, its also obvious. Movement speed is too powerful/valuable to be modified like that, at least at that magnitude. 10% is even a stretch. Its also just simply not fun to go too slow, and not fun to go too fast.

This is why this game was slowed down in the first place. To make it interactive, to make it a game. To make it a challenge. Movement speed was recognized as out of control.

It is simply not fun, for long, to run around deleting things you do not see. If it is, well I guess I'm glad you're easily entertained. That has no staying power for the general population.

Too easy is boring, too hard is torture. Some people like torture, most don't.

Suckhemas' speed penalty was adjusted to if hit recently, because it was simply way too brutal. You would 100% drop the run if you had to take the -30% movement speed. It was autoloss, so better to not waste time. Bad design, so it was adjusted.

If the answer is, don't play a map with that mod- and it actually IS the answer. Well I'd say that mod is too powerful.

The root issue is that movement speed snowball effects tons of other things. Now you'll get hit a lot more, and everything else that comes with that...

Completely agree, and so will the vast majority of the player base. I've played it one time.

Started and instantly noticed how slow I was- well thats sucks, keep going. Attempt my first attack, two-hand mace, think I'm taking frost damage- IT EFFECTS ATTACK SPEED TOO?!?!

Right away, played with for one attack, already what the fucking about it. Not even close to any sort of good balance. I really don't get it.

Is there any sort of play testing involved with this game? I guarantee you I could take 100 people, put them in a test, and in 2 minutes 90% of them would be like what the fuck no. The other 10% would be on their way to becoming questionable human beings.

I also guarantee you I wouldn't need to do a player test to know its a bad idea.

The problem with just "not playing the mod" exactly showcases why it is so bad.

People dont play the mod not because it is difficult or not fitting with the build like "elemental reflect", people don't play it simply because its NOT FUN.

Taking a "reduced slow debuff" effect just for Temporal Chain seem like waste of points. Movement speed is slow enough that almost everyone will sport some sort of movement speed on their boots. If GGG thinks movement speed can get out of hand, the max speed can be easily calculated, and it has nothing to do with TC as well. Most people will not reach max speed anyway.

poe1 speed is a problem, and hence this default poe2 speed, but i see no reason to slow it even further. It exacerbates other problems too like traversing the huge maps and backtracking etc.
I insta-DELETE all maps with this.
