Pinnacle Boss fragments should only be consumed on victory
Arbiter of Ash is a really fun fight. The mechanics feel satisfying to master, and it is punishing when you mess up.
You know what isn't fun about this fight? The entry fee. It costs either hours of searching for fragments to attempt it 6 times, or it costs multiple Divine Orbs to purchase the fragments form the market. For SIX attempts at a boss full of one-shot mechanics that you WILL FAIL if you go in blind like I did. I really didn't mind the difficulty. I minded how I lost several hours of work towards literally my only goal this league: beat all the pinnacle bosses. If you could retry without the frankly ludicrous cost to play, it would feel much more satisfying to achieve victory. As it stands, I won't be trying again until I watch videos on the mechanics, get stupidly overpowered, and trivialize the fight. That's not fun. Last bumped on Apr 13, 2025, 12:52:38 AM

That's problem with bosses in PoE that devs ignore
And they still compare the game to Dark Souls Dark Souls has NO ENTRY COST It doesn't force you to fight white monsters for 5 hours before attempting a boss That's why players in PoE will always either overgear or sell fragments. |
