I have too many hours in to request a refund, but am entirely unable to play due to crashes.

I have tried everything I could find for crash fixes, and there has been no change. The crashes seem to be getting more frequent.

Today? Today the game crashed three times before I just gave up. Once in the initial loading screen, once at the entry screen with the big red 'play' button (without ever loading the text onto that button, by the way...) and once when I clicked on the character I wanted to play.

I have over 6,000 hours in PoE1. I love the genre, I love PoE. I currently hate the situation so much that I can't even go back to playing and enjoying PoE1.

I want to love this game, but you are currently not allowing me to do so.

Did you try to get a refund, regardless of hours? I think that 2hr timer on steam is for automated refunds. If you cannot run the game period they may still allow you to refund.

What's wrong with your system? Check event viewer for why it crashed. Run sfc /scannow to fix your corrupted system. install a fresh copy of the graphics drivers, and look for updates to your current hardware. Motherboard firmware updates, etc.

I've had zero crashes, and in fact have left the game running for 3 days straight with no issues.

I also keep my system up to date and check for issues.

Think its about EU servers,no idea if other regions are affected.I had tons of crashes since 0.2 patch.Its either crash to the main menu or two spinning wheels show up,screen goes dark with my health bar visible and game decides to either continue or crash.

There are plenty of posts being made about servers and no i dont have issue with any other game and Im on wired 1gb speed connection.Never lose connection and everything is up to date,0.1 didnt have this issue

I say this with the best intentions: Have you considered to just put the game down until 0.3 or later, when the game is more stable?

While I emphasize with the situation, I’m also reading that you’re forcing yourself to like something (which rarely works) and it’s negatively influencing your enjoyment of other things (PoE1). That simply sounds like a negative business case, is there reasons you’re doing this?

I hope future versions are more stable for you, and us all 😅
