Choir of the storm not gaining damage from "triggered spell damage" nodes. Not working 0.2.0h

Leaving things broken because they didn't plan or test interactions is a weird solution.

First they let a million temporalis into the world even though each one has a unique ID and can be traced back to who was running the boss multiple times to dupe it.

Then they put a .10 second minimum cooldown on it, and changed it to "Greater lightning bolt"

Now they put a .10 second minimum cooldown on it and cut the damage 3.5x.

They could have just left it as greater lightning bolt and took away spell echo and considered casting and let it be boosted by the trigger nodes.

But instead they cut it by 3.5x and then let you cheat buff it with non trigger gems.

Doesn't make any sense.

Well it's either a triggered skill or it isn't. If it is a trigger skill it should gain from the trigger nodes.
Currently despite it being a triggered skill, modifiers mistaken it for a self casted one.

After the fix, Spell Echo and Considered Casting won't affect Lightning Bolt that is triggered. Surprisingly, these two are used most often to support it by builds with Choir of the Storm, according to poe2.ninja. Hey, where are the bug reports? I haven't seen one. And this corroborates my guess about the timing. Fixing the bug mid-league would result in an unwanted nerf, so it's postponed until the next balance patch.

They should simply change the description of spell echo to "Cannot support channeling skills, remote skills, or skills triggered by skills that gain energy."
Spell Echo did nothing wrong, leave it alone ;-) Triggered spells bypass its downside (for lack of cast time), so they shouldn't be supportable by it per design.

I'm just saying, they could fix the terminology on the skills and buffs, or they could actually fix the skill. Make the skill "Greater lightning bolt" again and remove the ability to cheat buff it with self cast buffs. That would give you flexibility with other buff gems AND make it a true trigger skill that benefits from the trigger nodes, while not making it overpowered.
