Snipe Could Use a Functional Change to Make It Feel Better to Use
It seems a little silly that Snipe has such negative synergy with pierce, which is on a few passive nodes Snipe builds may want to take like Clean Shot and which can roll on gear, inadvertently ruining that piece of gear. Even if released with perfect timing, if an arrow from snipe pierces an enemy, the arrow will continue flying, not triggering the explosion which all of the damage is tied to. This make pierce chance essentially a chance to not deal damage to your target, which feels terrible. I'd also argue that Snipe causing an explosion in the first place feels kind of silly and not very thematic.
It would be interesting and likely feel better to remove the explosion aspect of Snipe and instead have the arrow itself hit in a wider area that is guaranteed to crit and pierce enemies hit on a perfectly timed shot. Visually this would be the arrow flying in a straight line skill shot that is wider with perfect timing. Allowing it to pierce on perfect timing would maintain its aoe potential and honestly probably feel better than the circular explosion anyway.
