Apex of Filth / Queen of Filth
This entire effing map AND boss are feeling pretty massively over-tuned. I'm 4 level ahead of the zone and I'm still getting my teeth absolutely kicked in.
It's way too much. I'm the first to admit when I'm just being bad at the game but being 4 levels ahead and still struggling this much is a huge red flag. It's f***ing crazy to me that I haven't beaten the campaign yet and made it to maps. I've been playing all day, every day. I'll tell you what isn't fun: being four levels ahead of a map and boss and feeling like you're on the same level. It has truly been a struggle. Last bumped on Apr 12, 2025, 6:56:06 AM

Yes, this boss on cruel is a huge issue right now. I've been through the campaing twice before 0.2.0 and the queen of filth was always a bit annoying, but never felt so insanely overpowered. The biggest issue is her double roll attack, that she pretty much spams all the time if you re far away, it's almost impossible to avoid, and one hits my character. You need to stay close to her, but then there is all the shit on the ground and if I move even an inch away from her she does the rolls and goes through me like a truck. After probably hundreds of attempts I have to admit, I am not able to do this boss at this point. And I am 5 levels above the zone level btw.
I don't consider myself a very skilled player, but I have about 300 hours played in this game and two other characters in the end game, so I kinda hope I should be able to beat a boss in the campaign... I feel like I am forced into one of these options now: a) Farm the zone (which is annying as hell to play) to get exp and currency and buy gear of the market to be able to overDPS the boss b) copy an op build from the web (which would probably require me to farm for currency anyway) |

I had to deal with Queen of filth last night and it was the most miserable boss experience of them all. I don't know what to say if this is what meaningful boss fights is supposed to be. She just zooms around randomly at lightning speed, dodge often doesn't work because she's too fast, too random in the attack direction or her aoe is too large. Keeping a distance is difficult also due to her speed.
Like with some of the other bosses i had to respec my spells and rings to even put a dent in her. And even then only won by cheesing her into a bugged corner. Game balance feels extremely off. My build slices through random mobs like hot knife though butter now but some bosses were an absolute pain in the butt. Ignagduk also was completely miserable experience for me what with her lightning speed and randomness. |
