Random bug where my own attacks hurt me...

I've been experiencing a bug where my ice and tornado attacks are causing a backlash that hurts me. This is recent the previous patch is when it started. I will explain the situations that cause me damage.

I use the parry/ice spear combo. Occasionally that attack exploit creates a patch of frost that slows everything. Even me. I have died numerous times because my dodge goes through my frost patch and does a slow motion dodge. I get killed mid dodge.

With the tornadoes I use the wind strike, first boosted to three casts, then spawn tornadoes. If any attack imbues my whirlwind with an element and I cast tornado, those tornadoes have killed me before. They do massive damage but seem to be an Achilles heel.

I am just curious if this is an isolated event or intended function of the said abilities. Or if anyone else has had similar luck as Huntress...
