Azmerian Wisp
What are your toughts on this?
I specced Atlas tree to have more spawn and I can't help myself but think they're utterly useless. Maybe got a scroll of wisdom or two in extra.... Last bumped on Apr 12, 2025, 3:19:39 PM

Killed about 15-20 of those so far. Never got anything worthwhile out of them.

I feel like they could be great in rare circumstances.
Like a map packed with +magic packs/pack size/magic monsters where it can empower hundreds of enemies before reach a rare enemy. But i haven't specced into it/experienced that yet. Best I've reached is 130~mobs before reaching the rare and not sure the risk was worth the reward. I guess all rare enemies shown on the minimap kinda helps this mechanic. "Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."

It seems like there is a serious issue in the code or something with item drops. It sure seemed that way the other day with the Ziz and Jonathan n Mark interview. I was barely getting anything in act 5 and 6... let alone end-game and those Wisps have provided even less.
I got the sauce. POE2 enjoyer. Last edited by Holigawd#2935 on Apr 11, 2025, 6:22:43 AM

Azmerian Wisps are not resulting in Talismans.
I have killed a good number of rares affected by an Azmerian Wisp. They are not dropping the Talismans. The concept is fine and an interesting way to throw some additional challenge in zones. But if the rng is bad for the talisman to drop, you never see the new socketable and its options. Nothing else worth mentioning is dropping either, so it is not like you have any other reason to kill the wisp affected rare. While doing the campaign, I do not really mind chasing the wisps to a rare and maybe dying, while trying to get the talismans to drop. But come end game, the higher chance for the extra difficulty to result in death and experience loss... Opposed to killing the rare but the talisman being very poor rng drop chance... I do not see myself bothering in following the wisps at all in mapping. I do not understand the point of such gate keeping when you have made it clear you want us to use the items as we campaign and into end game. Instead, people are going to avoid the new content completely and not enjoy the new dynamics. If you are concerned about people farming low level content for wisps, then I would suggest having tiers of wisps as you have done with the runes. If talismans are considered more powerful than runes, then add in more in between tiers to reach the top end talismans. Runes only have three tiers, talismans could have six, seven, etc. To make it a farming/time issue, if someone wants to farm for selling. It has become evident in the interviews that the intent of the rng drops and what the players are experiencing, are two separate things. I am not getting talismans, exalted, items with sockets, etc. Introducing more rng content is only aggravating at this point, not enjoyable or fun. A wisp is rng to spawn in a zone. The mobs and density of mobs the wisp got through on the way to rare is rng. the rare and its surrounding mobs is rng. The type of wisp and its added attacks is rng. Can we please remove the rng of a talisman as well? Last edited by Avatrea#1938 on Apr 12, 2025, 11:36:12 AM
