And to complete, dont forget that most of your damage are not coming from your skill tree or even your skill, but from your weapon.

And btw, maybe you dont know that, but if you want to farm some area before going again fighting Jamanra, you can go on your world map, and then ctrl + right clic (if you are playing on PC) to open a new version of the map (and so regenerate mobs). So, you could find an area you like to farm, cleaning it then open your map, ctrl + right clic on this area, open a new one and farm again.

Maybe try to farm more, and then try to find a better weapon on merchant or by gambling ;)

+1 Need decent weapon

The only way is trade to get +1 stuff, with the MF and Qty and his level, unless in a group with High MF and High QTY, never gonna drop.

Suggesting the trade is the only option. By design, the game forces you to trade.

Not sure if you’re trolling, bro? He literally beat the boss with just a few tweaks.

I’m playing HCSSF and beat the boss first try, no issues. Honestly, gear drops feel too generous—at least in the campaign. I can’t speak for endgame (limited experience there), but I’ve got 500+ hours in HCSSF campaign and never had serious problems with gear. Sure, sometimes things get dicey and you need that upgrade—but that’s what makes finding it feel awesome. That’s the dopamine hit.

Your help was very useful to me. I crafted two cold spells in place of my lighting spells and beat him on the first try! Was still a lengthy fight but he is quite lethargic in the second phase when he gets nonstop pounded with cold damage.

Congrats!

Hope you have fun with the rest of the campaign!

100% agree, I've never felt that loot was a problem.

I didn't even check the shops on every level like people suggest (too lazy) and I still didn't have any problems before the player buffs / monster nerfs.

I would also add for attack based builds it's VERY helpful to keep flat damage rings and gloves around, they add a lot more damage than you would think.

Even if I really like the game in the current difficulty state, I cant totally agree with you both.

I mean, in my huntress run, I got my 1rst yellow spear lvl 55. Before that I played with a blue one, found in the shop with just some flat fire dmg.

For me, I think having a yellow spear as reward for killing count geoff or before Jamanra could be a good idea to smooth out the difficulty for every players.
Or changing the probability having stuff you can equip, as drops. Because killing a boss after 5min and dropping a yellow shield you cant even equip, dont really feel as a reward...

With all due respect, I can't take the claim of finding only one yellow spear by level 55 seriously. That suggests a serious mismanagement of resources. All it takes is a single Alchemy or Regal orb and some basic crafting knowledge to make yourself a yellow spear long before that point.

My last two characters in HCSSF have been fully geared in rares and 2–3 uniques by mid-game. And before anyone chalks it up to luck—this experience has been consistent for me across 500+ hours, both before and after recent loot changes.

If you're struggling with gear progression, I'd strongly recommend checking out this guide:

It breaks down the early game economy and how to consistently improve your gear without relying on RNG.

Hope it helps!

Oh I wasnt struggling. I died 10 times during all the campaign. And I got enough alchemy to craft few rare spears.

No Im talking about how the game rewards you for a challenge. I totally agree that less loots = loots are more important. But to be sure players feel rewarding, you have to be sure loots can be useful. And looting a stuff you cant even equip dont feel as a good reward.
Ofc it could be good for reroll, but its okay in end game when you loot more rare, not at the early game when looting a rare weapon you carry, really improve your character !!
