Trials and Ascendancy
It is very very frustrating to have the ascendancy locked behind the Trials.
Please change this. It is not hard because even characters that are not designed for those specific trials just need to level up and then they will be fine. It is just not fun to have character progression locked behind this content. Last bumped on Apr 11, 2025, 7:30:44 AM

The Trial of the Sekhemas - is just OK. IMO needs tuning. There are wild discrepancies in how much honour loss you deal with between certain rooms/floors.
I can take a few hits in my run and end up with like -200 honour by the 2nd floor bosses. Then I'll take one or two hits in there and lose like 600 to 1000 honour immediately, if not automatically dead. It leads to a reoccurring theme in this game - you need to either make a one shot build or you get one shot ended (i.e. the only viable builds are the one that remove meaningful/engaging combat). I also remember experiencing major discrepancy upon hitting the 4th floor in the first season. Not yet sure where it stands today, as I haven't gotten that far this season. Trial of Chaos is just bad content. The amount of effort you need to put into beating it (with a basic mid tier build) is herculean, but because of corruption - the rewards other than cores, are basically trash on arrival. In the first season, by the time I was actually able to beat it - I had already gotten my fourth set of ascendancy points & finally crafted a strong build that trivialized the whole experience. " i am veteran poe-2 player and playing since its "release". i am not casual and have decent skill. and i cannot beat floor 2 due to crap skill design (melee spears). but in clearing endgame maps i am near 0.1.0 lightning sorc performance. and i can do chaos trial with ease with that char to get ascendancy. " Same on experience. In the first season, i ended up beating the Sekhema trials dozens of times, if not over 100 times. I currently have about 65% honour resist and max honour, and have only completed two ascendancy trials. I have maxed resistances, 65% evasion, 30% armor, very high crit (roughly 85% chance and over 700% crit damage), and for bossing - I generally use explosive spears with limit of 2 and Rake with the Rage support gem. I like the feel of my damage output. I don't like how one or or two hits in the 2nd floor boss fight effectively ends the run. Melee does end up feeling vastly inferior because of the risk. The trials as they stand are the worst content in the game. That nothing was done about them despite the overwhelming complaints and what they did do instead says a lot about where their priorities are, and it sure doesn't seem to be "making the game fun to play."

" Yep, and this applies for both trials, if i could avoid them i'd do it literally all the time Especially Sekhemas, honor is one of the worst mechanics i've ever seen in a game, it literally kills build diversity, in a game that is all about having endless options |
