Hammer of Gods Glory problem in group play (doesn't work when group member finishes the stun)
I am using Hammer of the Gods, and the Glory mechanic requires me to heavy stun enemies to use the skill. In solo play, this is fine, because heavy stunning a boss once is enough to get 20 Glory and cast Hammer.
However, when I play in a group, I only receive the Glory if my final hit is the one that causes the heavy stun. Even if I contribute almost of the stun buildup to a boss (which is generally the case because I am using a Bloodhound's Mark to build stun based of my bleed damage), I only can cast Hammer if I cause the last bit of stun damage (as opposed to a group member). I do not know if this is intended, but it feels pretty bad and discourages people from using Hammer in groups. If the Glory mechanic remains, I would suggest reworking it to provide you with Glory if, for example, either enemies are heavy stunned by you OR heavy stunned in your presence. That is just one potential solution to this problem. Thank you for your consideration of this issue. I am really enjoying the game and this patch, keep up the good work. not a huge fan of the glory mechanic. why not make hammer cost a % (25-50) of your life or mana instead if you want to make it feel meaningful. that way, players can at least time it reliably.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about it. I used it last league as well, and the old cooldown system also felt a bit awkward. I agree with you, it needs to feel meaningful in some way, and it does so much weapon % damage that it needs to have some timing restriction on it.
Funnily enough, outside of this group play issue, I actually get to cast it more frequently with Glory than when it was on cooldown last league. I am running a bleed build, so once I build up the first heavy stun on the boss, I can cast Hammer and it causes a large bleed (2x if I use Seismic Cry, since the enemy is always stunned in this situation). If I cast Bloodhound's Mark again, the Hammer bleed contributes to the next stun buildup, usually enough to re-stun almost immediately, which creates another 20 Glory. As a result, any boss that does not die from the first Hammer cast can be stunned and Hammer'd again pretty much right away, so all of the bosses I've fought so far are guaranteed to die after the first stun. So, with my build at least, the Glory mechanic is actually an advantage; it really makes Hammer sing. Regardless of whether or not the chain stunning I am pulling off was intended, I am fairly certain it was not intended to be that you could only reliably generate Glory when playing solo. So, I hope they address this group play issue, since it seems like an easy fix to make you also get Glory if an enemy is stunned in your presence (for example). |

Same for me. I can't use hammer of gods when playing in group.
