Infinite Essence mod on rares (hidden killer)

The mod itself does absurd damage that you can't dodge.
Lightning arrows fall down on you no matter where you are, similar to Balbala, but there is no detonation time, they do damage the moment they hit you.

If the mod is in a rare encased in essence, then you can't even break the essence. You die before you even check the rare for its mods.

I lost 3 characters to this same mechanic. 0 time to react.

1st character, 300hp in A2 starting zone.
2nd character, broke essence with 1k hp in A3 and instantly died.
and now, A2 with 660hp in the gates zone, I broke the essence and instantly died.

How is there a mob mechanic that nearly instantly kills you, and it doesn't rely on skill or anything, its just there.

FFS you removed exploding crystals which was completely avoidable, but this is fine?

Has anyone had an encounter with this?

Yeah I got instant killed at lvl 60 on day 1 to this. I chalked it up to my own fault since it was a wisped Greater Essence, though. I got clipped by like one projectile at the very edge of the field and instantly fell over. Decided to just continue in softcore after that...
