I am enjoying poe2...Please don't overaccommodate the crybaby zoomers
The community needs to be patient while they balance and develop the game. I like the slower play style, tougher monsters/large packs, large maps, etc. If you want to zoom play poe1. I am a very midling player and had no real problem leveling through the campaign with random skills and no gear. It should be that not every character can do all content. You can always trade for say an item from a boss if you cant do it naturally. Zoomers who don't know how to edge their dopamine have been the downfall of many games(see rare candy exploit for your Pokémon). Of course the game needs a lot of work but disregarding the developers like Jonathan and their acquired wisdom is not a good idea. They care about good outcomes much more than all these armchair generals in chat.
Thank you GGG stay the course with your vision for the game. If you try and accommodate everyone you will be good at nothing(see d4). Last bumped on Apr 9, 2025, 12:34:54 AM

If they released another league for POE im sure 95% of poe 2 players would go play poe1 cause its entirely a better game. Instead they are ignoring poe 1

Hi, Please ignore this thread, it says nothing of value and the OP did nothing but insult the majority of the playerbase.

The game needs to be improved. Acting holier than thou about it just makes you look dumb. The game doesn't need to be done over but it needs fixing, and their stance on some things (Travel Skills, Gem Scarcity, Campaign Repetition, Respeccing Ascendancies, Support Gem Balance, Evasion Nerfs,) does nothing but alienate people who know they need fixing.
Gambling addiction means that I win more than you do.

" Firstly I didn't know you speak for the "majority" of the playerbase. After many thousands of hours of poe1 not wanting poe2 to be more of the same is reasonable and of equal value to any opinion you might hold. Also the loud minority of poe players are insufferable and complain no matter what changes are made in any direction. |

" all i have to do is look at your guys' PoE 1 profiles and see (as professing poe 1 enjoyers) most characters aren't even level 90 on softcore in a game where you can reach 90 in 12 hrs played fresh start. this bizarre, incapable reality you live in may be the more popular and common one, and because money rules over people, the majority usually gets their way, but it cannot be denied nor understated that your world and my world are NOT the same. we are not even in the same GALAXY. PoE 2 is made for THE BOYS. Last edited by Kotrr#0849 on Apr 8, 2025, 10:38:07 PM

" Until it's not a good outcome. And those armchair generals you speak of (which is the playerbase) in a nonchalant, disparaging way? They play the game a lot more better than the developers themselves do (including yourself and I) and they arguably know a lot more, too! Just because developers of games are the developers of a game does not equate to them knowing everything. Hence, the existence of Feedback Forums! And as far 'accommodation' goes? They can easily add another League for PoE 2 like I suggested here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3745945 Posts like the OP you made serve nothing more than to be very one-sided to appease only what you like. My proposal would make almost everybody happy and the rest of you guys can keep your 'limiting' and 'sluggish' PoE 2 mode in your own league! Both sides of the war resolved! BOOM! (\(^^)/) The only thing getting in the way of adding a second League with a more 'flexible' direction and a less 'sluggish' gameplay experience? Developer hubris. Not listening to coherent and constructive feedback is just going to land the developers and the game itself much deeper into Hellfire. P.S. The majority of us do not want a PoE 1 clone. There is a way to make the game 'fun' while also not driving almost every build into the ground, while also not having it to where there is a sensory overload on the screen with 100s of effects onscreen, and while also not having it to where everything (including Bosses) is one-shot every time. I'll say it again for every one of these posts that straight-up gets it wrong: We simply want more agency/freedom over our builds! That does not mean we are suggesting the devs clone the issues PoE 1 had and make everything a one-shot, sensory overloadfest! Currently, to make a good example, Spear projectiles cannot be modified in any way where more than one of those projectiles can be shot or lodged into the ground to detonate = not fun! And that's just scratching the surface on how PoE 2 gets it wrong in the realm of a more fun gameplay experience. So instead of Spear projectiles being 'not modifiable' at all how about 'cannot shoot more than 3 projectiles'? Again, this is an example, an example of what bottlenecking 'potential' actually looks like. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect.
