Feedback on the Zizarian interview on Twitch with Jonathan and Mark

Hey Jonathan, just wanted to chime in that I agreed with pretty much everything you said. People wanting a game to be easier instead of learning how to get better at it blows my mind.

I definitely am one of those people like you that would probably quit if the game was made significantly easier to the point it wasn't a challenge anymore. The entitlement of this playerbase, this game's streamers, and this game's online communities is horrendous. And even from a numbers perspective, let's be clear, the majority of players (like 200,000+ of them), aren't involved in this conversation at all.

In fact, if the entire subreddit quit a doubt it would make a large impact on the playerbase at all. Honestly I think it's probably time to stop giving these people (and the streamers backing them up) attention.

Thanks again for all the work put in over the past few months and thanks to all the staff as well.

The challenge of the game is really the most addictive aspect of the design. I understand the balance is very hard to quantify. 0.1 was good - for me at least.

My primary issue is that I can't play the gear game. I'm not getting drops to upgrade or experiment with crafting - at all.

@Johnathan - Maybe play through while in a party. That could be the issue.
+1 for John not quickly going with the flow of crybabies asking for everything to be trivialized.

I think this interview was his worst one, but ultimately I think he’s not wrong, he just didn’t communicate very well today. It happens to all of us at times.

To the crybabies: they have acknowledged that lots of stuff needs improving, give them some time to do so. You can’t have it all right now and also be perfectly tested. If you want it now: it’s gonna be messy. If you want it perfectly: come back next year.

For example: how does one struggle with wolves in Clearfell? Only when you overextend, when you assume you should be able to pull 3 groups. No class currently can’t handle 2-3 wolves.

But there’s certainly problematic stuff, like Jamanra life pool is crazy. But they acknowledge that further balancing is needed, so just be happy and let them cook.
