Second Inventory Tab only for Gems/Currency
Yeahe...
like the Title said, i suggest a second Tab in the Inventory where the player only can put Gems and Currency items in. So on Tab is only for Armors, Weapons, Flasks and one Tab is for Gems and Currency items. For me it would not be a must have but many people have problems with the small inventory and i would have nothing against a extra Tab like this. IGN: kReiZy

Not a bad idea, but while you are at it pls include Quest items in the bonus Tab^^
Srsly in act 2 if you go south first you have that spear limiting your inventory like forever ^^. And while the small inventory doesn't bother me much (portal scrolls come in at a good pace) just one more row so one can stack 2 3-slot high items on top of each other would be really nice :) |

I was going to suggest this exact thing. The "currency items" eating your inventory seems to be the only glaring flaw in the game to me. I think an inventory system like that in Torchlight (what the OP described) is the perfect solution.

They have this idea already, it costs 30MTP here https://www.pathofexile.com/shop so to give you an additional tab for free would cost them lost revenue. You personally should be able to use self control and reserve a tab for what ever you want it for. Or did I miss your point?

That's an extra slot in your shared stash - so the chest. I'm talking about an extra tab on your character that can only be used for "currency items". That way they don't eat away at the slots you have to carry things you find.
EDIT: Also, I would have no problem having to pay for this feature. Last edited by Orbyx#0816 on Jan 21, 2013, 10:49:24 PM

Interesting, and I'm not against it but they'd have to rebalance a few things because for example they cap the number of times you enter and leave an end game map to force tougher choices about what you take home.
It cant be purchasble.. Tabs in both places are pay to win but they make the exception on the stash to reduce mules/server load and they'd have no justification for charging carry capacity. |

" I understand your point, but in my opinion, making a tab for the "currency items" wouldn't impact the items I am able to pick up - it just reduces tedium. For example, I really only carry Portal scrolls and Wisdom scrolls with me. All the other things I have to constantly access my stash to store or retrieve when needed. So, at most I'd be getting 2 inventory slots back and I don't feel this would drastically impact item gain and item related choices. The main improvement would be not having to go in and out of the stash -constantly-. " That is a good point and I agree. |

It wouldn't impact many HC characters because they don't like carrying high end currency just for kicks. But a default character would use it in place of his stash so he could buy perhaps one less tab. A backpack (aka cube from d2) would be convenient and not too big. But let's not restrict what goes in it, because freedom is always good.

I prefer the current system and trade-off between carrying currency placeholders and leaving more space for loot. By introducing a new tab, GGG opens the door for players to request other inventory ease of use changes in the future. GGG has to draw the line somewhere and it might as well be here, as this change would increase effective inventory space by 10 to 20% for most players. That's not a negligible amount and it could lead to loot inflation.
