" PoE 2 still REEEAAAALY needs a sprint skill (that also doesn't work in combat) or out of combat speed boost. I'm not a zoom zoom player at all but PoE 2 zones have way more backtracking and dead ends than PoE 1 zones. It's all this "dead" time where you know where you need to go to and there is nothing on the way, no player agency, where your idle mind asks "What am I doing with my time? I could play something else, or maybe do the dishes." And area procedural generation needs a lot of work. Most PoE 1 zones had a clear flow to them and you had a main path to the other end and any side content with some added fluff on the sides too. Too many PoE 2 zones feel like you just fill the whole possible area with noise then plop any content nodes with maximum space inbetween in random places. Player damage wise, Rake + Stomping Ground is such an outlier and needs to be brought in line but I'd say 80% of that damage is what everything should feel like. Things that are a combo or need two things to set up, should do even more. I feel like a lot of skills that grant you 120% attack damage could do with a PoE 1 like 300% and would feel way better (I'm NOT a fan of deleting bosses but the rest of the game shouldn't be a slog). THEN you can boost health on bosses and rare monsters again. Doing 300% more work for 20% more damage is not feeling right. I know there are a couple of skills that have exactly that, a conditional large damage boost but that is always bound to a lot of conditions that feel clunky and unreliable. I'm all for having a setup and payoff but it needs some actual flow and prompt and clear communication about what's going on. Something that still works in the hectic and chaotic real gameplay without killing you while you're trying to make something happen. ... is not a troll
