Chaotic Freeze does not gain Energy for Cast on Freeze

There's nothing in the wording of either skill that would indicate that this interaction should not work, so it's probably not working as intended.

Absolute malarkey, this should definitely work as per the gem descriptions... Chaos damage counts towards freeze -> upon freezing enemies gain energy. For some reason it does not seem like the freeze counts as yours even though the DOT and therefore the freeze build up is yours. I swear every avenue i try to go down to make my minion lich viable for endgame it is either bugged / nerfed or just plain doesn't work as described.
