As The Wispers Ask, Ritual Sacrifice: Not able to use on enemies due to herald of blood

Not sure if its the enemies body exploding because of herald of blood or if its from some other glitch like blood boil. I am able to use 1 in 10 ritual sacrifices because the body of the rare monster is "gone". this feels bad
