Nerfing life

so one thing i've gotten out of the patch notes is that life, hp, was severely nerfed.

it is no secret that life kind of already sucks in comparison to ES. you can get like 5-10x the amount of "life pool" with ES than life, and yet there are multiple ways in which life gets nerfed in these patch notes.

1. all of the % attribute sources were nerfed. this means less strength, which means less life.

2. far as i can tell nearly all of the sources for % life were also either nerfed or removed. this is a MASSIVE nerf.

3. few sources of % life regen were removed

kinda sucks. i only play life builds. i strictly refuse to play ES. been playing poe1 since open beta and have never make an ES build and never will, so this really sucks.

hoping things are looked at further in the future before release. i don't mind the nerfs in patch notes. player power definitely needs to be kept in check, but i don't understand how life is nerfed and there isn't many ES nerfs at all (from notes).
many of the other changes as well just makes it seem like we're more pigeonheld into playing the meta builds in order to complete all content in the game.

we'll see!

They nerfed ES even more. There is a hard cap on max mana bonus on all items now.. and some PT nodes are gone
I'm not playing 0.2. These changes are garbage.

They gutted Temporalis. Why? Either leave it as it was or remove it from the game. Nerfing it makes it useless, and therefore nerfs the jackpot reason to do Trial of the Sekhemas.

Then they gutted Ingenuity. OK, maybe it was OP, but why nerf it? Just reduce the normal roll max from 80% ring effect to 70% and make it more rare. Boom, problem solved. Having super-powered end-game chase items isn't a bad thing.

THEN they nerfed minion builds which weren't even a real problem, by nerfing the minion unique main-hand from +1-3 minion levels to +1-2?????

Most of these changes result from the vaal'd version of uniques being too powerful. But the answer there is to change the vaal system. Remove the ability of a vaal orb to affect the numerical values of an item, and just return it to how it worked in POE1.

They didn't nerf ES. They nerfed mana stacking.
The helmet and the amulet were the amalgamation of multiple design brain farts.

This is what concerns me.
Were life builds really that popular?
Im a noob so maybe im wrong BUT didnt they increase the amount of stuns we are going to get hit with?

And life increases your stun threshold?

Seems like 80% of players will be doing life?

They certainly nerfed ES because they nerfed atziris and disabled grim feast. that in an of itself is like a 70% less ES nerf for alot of classes.
I'm kinda bummed about the Evasion nerf. Feels like they didn't hit endgame builds as much as starter/mid game with that one.

They nerfed Wind Dancer value by 50% and made it pop on any hit, instead of only melee hits. That's devastating for pure evasion builds, as any hit that can't be evaded in the first place will kill ur Wind Dancer charges and make u vulnerable for melee/projectile hits. (kinda like the PoE1 Keystone)

Only after getting a shit ton of evasion and acrobatics u might be fine, but even that takes way longer than currently, because acro got a nerf aswell.

It seems like any defence in 0.2 is lacking now and Cloak of Flame is probably the best defensive item. One can only hope that they introduced some really good new defensive uniques.

May I remind you that despite the gem is gone, meditation is actually there.
And the other guy can leech CHAOS and Elemental to ES now.

I agree, but to be honest I was running acrobatics with above 75% dodge, precisely because wind dancer staying 24/7 up.

On top of all other defense layers. I mean, it is not good to zoom maps, and never die even once, and to have warriors playing melee and actually getting one shotted by some stupid thing like a water hag...

This persistent buff actually allowed us to take "dodge all hits" without any downsides.
