This is not nerfs. This is genocide. What's the point of firing Chris if everything stays the same? Builds are played once and that's it. Everything repeats itself. The game died with this patch. You can not play it anymore. The worst 60 bucks I have spent. Faith in GGG died today

Well we won’t know how crazy these nerfs are in quite a few cases until we get our hands on it because we haven’t seen skill gem progression in terms of raw scaling, there will still be funny tier broken builds people. Just won’t be exactly what you played last time, MAYBE. One shotting four screens away and three second killing every pinnacle boss with spark on a character with mid at best gear just needed to go y’all it was corny and you’ll be able to in some way reach that power again just look out for streamer builds it will be fine you be feeling insanely strong you’ll see. It’s almost like within those 100 uniques we won’t be getting something astronomically build defining that makes characters crazy strong(we 100% will)


Comparing small min maxers that can kill endgame bosses in less than 10 seconds to general playerbase is quite disingenuous.
Yes spark archmage was bit op on the high end. So nerf that high end.

What does hexblast or grenades have with archmage spark? They were in the same ballpark?

Not to mention completly gutting mana to es items AND LIFE GETTING NERFED(soul cores).

Sorry, but life was bit op so they shaved it a bit.

And this is why GGG shouldn't listen to the 'Hardcore'. They ACTIVELY chase away customers. This is how you tank a game. Do you hate PoE that much?





Also, read the patch notes that is a LOT of nerfs. And some don't make sense. Armour is already useless, crushing player armour isn't going to do anything as no one wears any.

What's frustrating isn't the patch — it's the sheer volume of entitled comments acting like GGG committed some crime against humanity. We get it, your favorite build got touched. It happens. That's part of playing a game that actually evolves.
It is just a vocal minority as often, people probably not working, i advocate since long to have an in game survey tool to really feel the crowd/majority.
there are a lot bias to check few negative comments and draw conclusions.
I really hope GGG does not care about that.
Balance changes will always bring few entitled brats to cry, like we do with children, let them cry until they stop.
At the end, they will all play the game, it is just talk to talk.


Reducing the enjoy - is evolving? Not taking care of people opinions - is good strategy? Nice one, but Majority dont want to play 1984 version of the game

Buff slams skills and nerf hammer of the gods. OMG....

I say NO for melee casters (hammer of the gods is a cast skill, not a melee)

GGG please open your eyes

You say something '' is wrong with a build whenever most players feel the need to do something similar to get the same reward'';
And all melee builds feel obligated to use hammer of the gods !!
How can you not see that!? this skill is wrong!
And it also takes away the roleplay of melee hitting at close range, if you can cast HOTG at medium range. It doesn't make sense.

Afaik LE nerfed few outlier builds and 1 outlifer skill (and I watch every dev stream).

GGG nerfed Hexblast (???), grenades by 50%, myriad of small nerfs on most of the skills with as far as i can see 3 buffs to mace skills.
So in their eyes, mace skills are performing well, let that sink in.

Mana stacking to es, Archmage, inguenuity, Temporalis, shield were warranted nerfs.
But nerfing shield by 80% ???? Completly killing mana to es on items + double mana cost MoM?

This is not fine tuning, this is taking a bat and randomly swinging.

You will also notice extra nerfs on life (soul cores) since life was also too good it seems.


You know what is funny, i can bet my house than when the patch notes will be released, all the doomers will come by LE forum and cry about nerf.
This is just the pattern of the tiny vocal minority crying and complaining about something they cannot comprehend as they never work on anything related to IT or programming, involving necessary balance twist.

I also follow LE dev streams or news and it will be a lot of nerfs already announced by the way. (volatile rehersal, falconer, mage ascendancy overall ect...)
Moreover LE is a game that was in EA for 4 years (at least) and was released a year ago.
i am not sure to remember but POE2 is released already or are we in EA?

Follow the approach of a guy like mathilification, he never cries, he just tries to play what he wants and see where it goes, patch notes or not.
It works, good, it does not, well the adventure is also interesting, not the only the arrival.
I like the overall nerf in unethical builds and builds that grossly outperformed others however I cant help but think they went a little too hard on Casters and specifically Sorcs.

With the base ailment threshold being halved and the changes to player stuns once you start getting hit by anything the punishment for that will be instant. Combine that with the increased difficulty of applying freeze, the massive reductions to Cast On Shock and Archmage, the mana reductions to gear, eldrich battery increasing mana costs... the list goes on and on.

I expected damage nerfs but the defensive nerfs are unexpected and compounded by the damage nerfs.

How are Sorcs going to defend themselves? If you cant deal the damage to kill before something hits you then youre rolled.
