failed writing when receiving data to disk poe2
Hey.
I would update my POE 2 standalone client since I havent played for at month, and wanted to install latest updates before 0.2.0. I got this error when missing like 32 kb of the update. "failed writing when receiving data to disk poe2". Tryed several times. Did a google search tried to disable windows firewall-windows defender and tried to run as adim. All with zero luck. Well desided to remove the game so I could do a clean install, but the error is still comming after like downloading 1 giga out of the 85 giga :-( Is this something GGG is aware of ? And does anyone have any tips on how to proceed ? thanks in advance. Last edited by MCKAZZ#5437 on Mar 26, 2025, 10:00:58 AM Last bumped on Mar 26, 2025, 6:37:09 PM

I also have this exact same problem (Error: Failed writing received data to disk/application while downloading). Also did a google search on it and tried the methods such as reinstalling, disabling windows defender firewall, and giving permisions specifically to POE 2 for windows defender firewall and none have worked for me either.
I can patch POE 1 just fine. Also played POE 2 quite a bit, took a break and came back to prep for the upcoming update and now I have run into this issue. |

my first thought is to reininstall/repair the game. Is there a some type of link in the error? Maybe you can type it in ur browser and download manually.
Here is how to do a packcheck for POE 2 same as POE 1. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/18531 |
