GGG Let us achieve lvl 100 or whatever is the max level...

"
There must always be levels to chase. If its ever allowed to be just gear, the game dries out. We learned this in every arpg ever made that did and didn't do this. They are right in having it this way.

All their current system does is make people stop playing in the mid 90's instead of post 100.
The problem here is people expecting to hit a complete leveling experience (which even in PoE1 takes extreme effort and is 100% nothing more than bragging rights) in an incomplete (beta) game.
Poe2 definitely needs more ways to gain xp and make 90+ leveling more attainable but I’d be beyond shocked if we don’t get more of these during this beta phase of development

I've been playing PoE for a long time now. I've never hit level 100. I don't think that needs to be every player's goal. I think it's totally fine for it to be something that only the most dedicated players achieve.
Stay sane, exiles!

Unless POE2 implements a juiced experience mechanic such as the Legion 5-Way from POE1 99% of us will stay in the early/mid-90's with our characters. Just the reality. Not a huge deal IMO (i.e. player power basically peaks well before 100) but I understand the gripe as a completionist. This game has a long way to go so be patient is my suggestion. Cheers.

To be fair.
I got 80M/hour at 99 on regular Dunes maps with cheap scarabs.
You don't even need 5-way.

The main difference is base level of Maps. Poe1 it is 83, poe2 has it at 80.
Bad layouts you're forced to run in poe2.
And clear speed, of course.

Indeed. POE1 100 is certainly achievable without Legion, Breachstones, etc. They just happened to shave many many hours off the process and made it much more enjoyable (in my opinion). I'd like to see POE2 have similar options to diversify endgame and energize the 95-100 journey a bit.

We'll see how the game evolves. I've enjoyed it despite its rather obvious flaws. Hopefully the next patch brings some clarity. Cheers.

Agreed, some extra ‘old content’ like Delve and Heist (just for examples) would make a huge difference to endgame, as would natural t16 waystone drops and a Vaal to get a rare t17 (aka like poe1 but in the style of poe2)

It spouse to be fun and relax this game, not punishment.
I suspect that XP penalty will be drag black letter:
people will think about GGG as developer who make games for for crazy people with no life...Thank You....
GGG you will end up with bunch of extremist will leads you to zero profits.
Simply don't die in T15-17s....it's that simple. ;)

Why does everyone nowdays have the need to achieve something without having to work for it + with protection wheels on?

Reaching level 100 is not essential in this game, you practicaly can faceroll all content with LVL95 or even lower if well equiped.

LVL100 is an endgame goal for those who love to take on this challange.

If you simplify this proccess by removing XP penalty f.e. or increasing the XP gain you practicaly kill 1 endgame activity for many player.

Because the satisfaction when you reach LVL 100 in POE 1 & 2 is pure dopamine (esp the last millimeters before you reach 100, your whole body is shaking hoping that you don't die ^^).

If you die to often while playing this type of endgame your character is simply not propperly equiped for this type of content.

It's the same when you can't run T15...simply take 1-2 steps back and farm gear few tiers lower till youre ready for certain content.

That's prety much the spirit of good ARPGs, welcome to this genre. :)

Actually, it took me about a week (solo - and im old and slow) ... surely not 2 months.

It can be done, through blood, sweat, and tears (and many Omens).

Oh, wait, this is POE2 section... my bad. I only play POE1.

yes this is exactly what Im talking about, why gate your own content from PAYABLE masses?

I mean max lvl, items, mechanics(Delirium boss for example)?...

Well, that is how games as service are. Specially the Free-to-Play ones. It can be done through long grinding to keep you in their game or through a "cash" system (specially on gachas). GGG strongly uses the long grinding strategy, instead of the "cash" one, so yeah this game will always have content gated by long grinding.

Actually I quit playing this games after I hit 92-93 and after I see that other than NON-LIFING this game nothing more left (tho many items I didnt get, levels, bosses and so on)....

I mean they need to make me pay but not quit....

you (your message here) look like a drug addict.... like wtf are you talking about? its just a game which RESETS every 3 months, so after 300+ hours of play players should be able to get to 100 lvl

I'm a drug addict because I give you the advice not to die if you want to level to 100?.....Wth, are you drunk man? XD

Don't get me wrong but if you don't reach LVL 100 after 300 hours it's not the games fault, sry.

Stop blaming others if YOU can't achieve something. ;)

And come down & chill a bit...Game is in Early Access and a big patch around the corner, where they'll probably increase the endgame activities to help you reach 100 faster. ;)
