What is a Divine Orb?

Title says it all. Where are they? Why are they so rare? Why does the only gear worth buying in trade cost multiple divine orbs? 413 hours played and I have seen MAYBE 5 in total. That's insane.

People who buy items for hundreds of divines don't find them as raw drops, they trade other things for them.

I bet you can liquidate your currencies or other items into multiple divines.

Hey bro it's because they've designed the game poorly and you have to basically "juice" towers and maps to get as high rarity/quantity on them and on top of that wear items with more rarity in order to get a decent amount of them to drop in said "juiced" maps.

It should be a random drop but it's not, it's built against you and tons of other new/newish/not so able to invest time players to add insult to injury for people who have no lives (trigger warning)

The same modifiers work for all loot - you just want to avoid "more gold" as a mod when doing this as it will count as currency and affect the drop rate (played for over a decade and I didn't know this)

People will say "oh but it rewards those who put in time" not realising there are probably more players who can't invest 1000+ hours to the casual players 400+ hours due to real life and they're helping keep the game alive just as much.

It sucks but they'll never change it as seen in the way they've carried over so many of the poor choices from Poe1 into Poe2 that people complain about everyday on here. Lazy design team, lazy dev team and as a result a game where every 15 seconds there's a new complaint on these forums about it.
aren't those the things that I keep getting in game messages about, from usernames like asdfjkl;1? :)

Every youtube video I watch I need to sit through a POE2 currency advertisement. Those things make it sound simple to get divine orbs!
Expecting to casually farm them is like expecting to find stacks of $100 bills lying around while walking to work.

D4 S8 is coming.

Lucky you.

The one and only i've seen thus far i faceplanted on as i was so stunned to see one drop, during the campaign no less, that i failed to realize there was one of those water hags alive off screen that promptly killed me with the water patch i was too slow to roll out of.

But yeah, the balance in this game is utterly wild.. the economy is broken, full stop and the loot game, them random drops, are not worth picking up off the floor cos to date, have not found a single significant upgrade for myself, everything i have i've had to buy and that's just plain wrong.
A lot people trade instead playing (Thats bad...Trade is bad for this game)
Many people simple buy them from....

SIMPLE

Depends how you play the game.

If you're SSF you don't rly need tham that often....maybe if you're lucky and find an Astramentis f.e. and want to roll better values, but generally not so important to drop them in SSF.

And if you play trade league most of the Divines come from trading stuff....Either from good bases (f.e. 2 white Stellar Amulets = 1 Divine what I know), good "crafted" (or better said "gambled") items, by farming and selling various currencies in bulk or by flipping currency if you want to go that route.

You can also sell some services if you want (Bosses f.e.), it's also a very good way to earn Divines.

It's like in real life....you put effort in some things to earn money, so you can buy things you need in your life.

Or do you wake up every day and hope to find all the stuff you need on the floor? ^^

Same with Divines....don't hope to find them on the floor and concentrate you fokus on stuff that you can change for Divines while having fun doing so.

Hope this helps....Wish u a great success. :)
