I upgraded my PC from 2014 to 2025 !!! POE2 is the same crap FPS ..Trash.....

I would never upgrade my PC because a EA game wasn't running 100%. Especially if all my other games run fine. It's EA and optimization will come. I am really losing faith in modern day gamers.

Any time you upgrade your system make sure to clean it up / optimize it. Running a simple program that optimizes your system/setting/drivers/etc usually fixes some head scratchers.

" I did buy a better CPU, because it was simply necessary nto only for POE2, it was the main reason, but i had a 5600X with a 7800XT and the CPU was bottlenecking the GPU “The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame.”

For all the people who say "I don't have any issues" (and list their hardware):
It's not helpful to write that. Path of Exile 2 lacks optimization, which happens randomly. It's like you're saying: "I don't have any problems, the problem is only yours." Please stop it, they need to fix it. |

" For all ppl who say "Path of Exile 2 lacks optimization" it's the last step of development before full release to optimize a game. Just post your system, settings, and you are done, but don't make outrage posts pretending it had to be optimized by now. Please stop it, they will fix it. [Removed by Support]

It's not that the game lacks optimization. It's that the game doesn't dial back on visuals/particles/enemies on screen at once. Good luck throwing money on hardware at a game that is not intended to be running at a high framerate in certain circumstances. I'm not sure what type of hardware you would need to get 100fps on two or three breaches open at the same time, with heralds and everything else popping off. But it's not the type of hardware I'd recommend opening your wallet for (just for this game).

They should get a prize for the worst-optimized game ever created.Plays like a potato on a 4090-78003xd.

" This is an old post, but after installing new hardware you should delete your shader cache and let it recompile. For whatever reasons poe doesn't do it automatically, and running old shaders built for other videocard is the main reason why you have bad performance. Edit: that being said, poe is ceratinly not optimised well for the graphics it presents, no argument here. But such extreme cases as 20 fps on UFO pc are likely shader issue. I don't think I ever dropped to 20fps ever even on my old 1070ti, something tells me AMD cards aren't too great in PoE2.

9800x3d and 4070rtx with 6000mhz 32gb ddr5 ram and liquid coolin here. 117fps steady (my monitor is 120hz)
MY CPU usually around %18-20 in game. Only goes to %70-%85 usage during shaders when you enter a new place. No FPS problems at all. Previously i had 3700x (4.2ghz) and i used to see 50fps. Even on breaches and rituals my FPS doesn't go below 100. Also i installed win11 to SSD and games running on m2's. Installing win11 on SSD fixed my most previous problems.
