Early Access League versus Standard, Why?

"
This will just get worse if there is no reset. Like a LOT worse. You'll probably end up getting aformentioned items and the like after 3 or 4 years as the prices will go to mirrors a pop by dudes who control the market and delete items instead of making it affordable.

This game is such an accurate depiction of real life in that regard that it is borderline scary.

It is an accurate depiction of real life without government financial regulators. They should've made poe2 in cyberpunk setting as "far future of wraeclast", would've been more realistic environment for capitalistic apocalypse:)

Where both devs and few elite players (megacorps) are feeding on the rest, draining their efforts and time for little to no gain or moral satisfaction, to become ever more rich (elites in game, devs in real life) to the point they don't know what to do with their mountains of divines and mirrors.

Well, thanks for the thread. I spent 650+ hrs on early access. Wasting player experience is a total disrespect. Especially, that I have gamedev experience myself. I regret spending time and money on this game and spent money on game developers, who has no respect for players, obviously.

The thread means nothing though, when the game goes to full release you'll still be able to play early access characters in the early access standard league, it just won't be joined with the regular standard league.

It changes nothing from the current formula at all, who cares if you're in early access standard vs regular standard, prices will always be through the roof anyway and farming for yourself will be the only liable way to get upgrades on both of those servers. Thats always been the case with regular standard it's not changing anything because there's an early access standard too

As new player to the POE2 and the POE world I 100% agree with this. the moment I discovered leagues meaning starting over, That my EA characters wouldn't carry over. I stopped playing and also regret spending money on this. you live and learn.
leagues meaning starting over.

It's this way in many games. When they start a new league, you start from scratch. D4 does and so do others. There is no need to play in the new league, but there is often new features in the league, many of which will carry over to Standard when the league finishes. In D4 most prefer to play leagues and once that is over your character goes to standard which most do not play anymore as usally its a maxed out character by then and they want o play the new stuff in the next league. Its a good model.

I cannot see GGG keeping two separate servers, one for Standard and one for EA. Thats 2 extra servers they have to maintain vs just one being Standard. In PoE1 I never played leagues, I was only on Standard and played that for many years.

As far as a economey reset goes, it will not matter. The bots and RTMers will take over what ever server, be it League, HC, Standard in days. It's the exploits like dupping that matter the most.

PoE2 EA did not waste my time, I play a few hours almost everyday. I actually like it a great deal. It will evolve and new content will come in. It is EA but really its live. Just have fun and enjoy it.
New leagues and starting new characters every 3 months or so is standard in ARPGs. You never end up playing the same character forever unless you want to hang out in the ghost town that the standard league becomes.

If you think the economy is bad now, just wait until the majority of players are in the new league.
I feel the same way and stopped playing last week when I discovered none of my gear would be transferred to a standard league. I'm not going to play in a dead EA league when EA stops.

To be completely honest, at this point I wouldn't care if a mirror dropped, why would I?

Why did you think your stuff would transfer from an Early Access? The game has not been released. You didn't know this was for testing?
