(Video) Let’s play a game, how’d I die?

Can you tell me how I died? I jump on for like 20 minutes because I’ve got a fairly busy day and honestly getting bummed out on all these issues. Load up a map and start running it. Then I died quick fast and in a hurry. This game demands you get better to rank up. It’s in their design, the developers have said they are keeping the xp penalty because it’s a skill check, you shouldn’t be 100 do to attrition. Fair enough, how am I supposed to learn from my mistakes so that I can level up if I’m not given any reason as to why I died in less than a half a second with no warning?

These deaths have been an ongoing issue for many players and streamers and I don’t believe GGG cares to fix them. They force the player to play a meta build and scale it to where it one shots everything. Guess I’ll be blinking with a wand and shield here soon auto casting lightning bolts with overkill boots on. It’s cheap and boring but ya know what? They’ll die.

Yep.

I can hear the dashing sound from a breach mob that could cause a huge enough hit to nearly one-shot him, but it's hard to say with this quality and no further information about mods'n'shit.

Look at the minimap, I think you can see at least Omni's icon if not Kosis's too at some point. Like...it coulda been an offscreen slam - which are wildly OP and gross...admittedly. Weird too, dropped to like 65 ES for a frame before dying, so not actually a 1-shot though.

Don't think invisible enemies are a mod and as far as I know breach enemies don't have on death effects. And there are no insta death grounds effect like burning ground. I dont see how map mods would effect what I just watched. Thats not normal and something is seriously over tuned.

This is much harder than souls game and not in a got and challenging way.

Don't dismiss it, we don't dismissed a visual bug either.

The point is valid, you could've rolled mods that basically delete your character. Not saying 8k hitpool isn't good, but some stuff can hit like a nuke if you have the right/wrong mods.

Could be you ate something from "Kosis", he appears bottom right at the end.

Thanks for taking a look and providing input. Even with a picture of the waystone I used and an ingame map mod picture and a picture of character sheet (plus 2 max resist to all with CI) it would still be a “BEST GUESS” as to what killed me. Until some actual care is directed into these phantom deaths it’ll be left up to deductive reasoning. Which in some cases can be accurate. On death reports are a must if the hard line here is you must get better to level or else XP penalty.

What I would like to see is:
1. On death stating the last two hits and their element type.
2. The ability to show map mods at the ressurect screen.
3. A brief line explaining how map mods affected any resistances.

Really two out of three of these would solve a lot of my frustrations with this game.
