PS5 loot disappears after short period of time or does not show at all

I’m a PS5 player and have been experiencing a persistent loot visibility bug. The issue began around Wednesday, January 29th, while cross-playing in a party with friends. When I switched from my solo instance to the party, loot suddenly became invisible. While I could still see the colored hues from my loot filter (blue, orange, etc.), item names did not appear, and I was unable to pick up any loot by pressing “X” near the hue.

To troubleshoot, I tried the following steps:
• Turning off loot filters entirely
• Switching to different loot filters
• Toggling the “Hide Filtered Ground Items” setting
• Restarting the client
• Starting a new game session
• Restarting PoE2
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the game

Unfortunately, none of these attempts resolved the issue, and the problem now affected my solo play as well, making the game unplayable since I couldn’t collect any loot.

However, I tried playing again today and noticed a partial improvement—items are now appearing, but only for 2 to 5 seconds before disappearing permanently.

I have recordings and screenshots available if needed. Please let me know how I can resolve this issue.

As a last resort I thought of creating a new character. Low and behold that reset my filters and I can now see items again…

If anyone is experiencing this issue, create a new character and then you will be able to see items again.

You missed the setting that's resposible for this behavior: "Always Highlight"

This setting can be toggled on controller with L2+Dpad Right.

That was not the problem. I had unbound this button intentionally to not make this mistake, and as mentioned, items would appear for a short period of time and then disappear on their own. Which could not be explained by this filter.

Once I created a new character, all of my characters loot challenge was fixed. I don’t know why this worked but it’s a solution until GGG is able to resolve the bug.

Brother its the filter, you have to toggle it, i had the same problem and after that its fixed. The eyes must be open.

Thanks for you input but I can assure you it was not the filter. I have screenshots and recordings showing all settings set correctly. Since I have resolved this issue on my own, I have not been able to replicate it.

I have exactly the same problem and tried all the above as OP did.
Also on PS5 latest 01.014 patch released 5hours ago.

Game is unplayable atm. Almost every single loot drop is disappearing as soon as I loot one single item.
