Why are we not seeing weekly patching to improve your game?

Yeah, the Art is more important that balancing the game with numbers. Even if you dismiss what you eyes actually see in every single screens and menus.

You want to play a game without Art and with numbers to make your peepee hard ? Go play Vampire Survivor or something like that.

PoE2 is visually stunning. It took much more work to create all that cohesive art than anything else in the game so far.

because weekly patches dont make them as much money as people quitting and coming back every 3months to buy a supporter pack

That makes absolutely no sense. There is no need to buy another supporter pack after 3 months, you don't get your access to Early Access revoked. If they kept players playing, there's a larger chance they spend on microtransactions, which includes spending on higher tier supporter pack upgrades because they are happy with the game. If they stop playing for 3 months, it has the opposite effect, you're not sure if you are going to be invested so you don't spend money.

They do the cycles for PoE to bring players back with the new supporter packs and vault pass on a finished game. It’s a proven income model for a full release.

For an EA title it would be insane if they devoted any time to new MTX sales. If the 0.2 comes with new MTX sales it clearly shows the priorities. Waiting months for a reset on EA makes no sense to me either, the economy is already ruined so they may as well make changes on the fly. The only thing I can think of is that with consoles needing to approve updates they don’t want to be doing it constantly.

Yes, BUT at the end of the day, if people keep coming back and buying supporter packs, it's not because they are mindless brainrotted consumers (at least not exclusively), it's because pretty much everytime GGG keeps delivering and hands us out some of that good poe shit we're craving.

If you look at the first season of EA it actually kind of played out like a normal league. Play for two month or so -> get bored -> wait for next league -> repeat.
Now what's left is for GGG is to hammer this one home for good, keep delivering on 0.2 and poe 2 will be on track to be one of the best RPG around for years.
If 0.2 is underwhelming though, that would not be a good signal.

As far as I'm concerned I've played poe2 for probably longer than I would play on a regular league. Endgame is REALLY bland by then, but I'm having a blast trying out new characters.

Guys, we KNOW the good stuff is coming, there is no doubt.
On one hand ggg better hurry themselves up and give us some sweet new content and fun league mecanics asap.
On the other hand we have to be a bit patient for it.

We get it, you are still trying to beat the campaign and you are taking screenshots of the graphics to share on Reddit, but people are trying to actually play the thing. Hard to do it when the numbers are everywhere and the balance doesn't exist.

Stop drinking/smoking, ''artist''. Want a game that looks good but doesn't work to make your peepee hard? Go play D4 or something like that.

Well, that's funny ; cause PoE2 is looking both better and has better gameplay's feeling than D4. But D4 is balanced. So maybe YOU should go play that game instead, as you don't care about Art and you want a balanced game, right (???).

The balance will never exist in PoE2. Someday, they will nerf X and buff Y and then *poof*, you will all still cry that because of the Meta-switch ; "Y is the only meta now and X has been bricked, refund plzzz".
The superficialist really wants attention and is derailing this thread with its nonsense. Improve the game GGG. Bi-weekly patches if need be.

I'd be happy with daily patches if that were somehow viable. If there is a problem try to at least fix the problem and move to the next problem.

There's bound to be various type(s) of problems that need to be addressed from things like "quick fixes" all the way up to "redesign from scratch" so I'd be happy with frequent patching as long as the patches don't hurt the game [I.E. introduce new bugs, cause more problems, etc.]

So, you are saying :

-don't add more weapons types (Art and animation)
-don't add more classes (Art, animation and voice acting)
-don't add more skill gems (Art, animation and visual effect)
-don't add more acts (Art landscape)
-don't add more monster variety (Art and animation)
-don't add more bosses (Art and animation)
-don't add more maps layout (Art landscape)
-don't add more menu (Art and animation)
-don't add more musics (Art)
-don't add more NPCs (Art and animation)

And also, the other point I've made :

-don't stabilize the game CPU usage (for hundreds of different CPUs)
-don't stabilize the game GPU usage (for hundreds of different GPUs)
-don't stabilize the game over multiples plateforms
-don't stabilize the servers
-don't fix code and scripts

But :

-balance the dps of the skill gems we have (Numbers)
-balance the health vs damage numbers of players and enemies (Numbers)
-balance the RNGs around drop for crafting and trading (Numbers)

Because that's all that matter, right ?
