Take on "Ben's" feedback

The way OP talks about that video is almost as if they listened to every 2nd word ben said and still couldn't comprehend it and then we end up with posts like these that I have to read twice coz of how stupid they are. Same thing applies to when someone has different opinion than OP.

The real question then becomes why are you so mad and bitter OP? Childish and condescending responses the moment someone disagrees with you. And it doesn't matter if they write some clowny stuff, their opinion or backed up fact because the moment you don't agree with them you attack with emotions and not facts or objective truths.

At the end you talk about redditor but fails to grasp the fact that you yourself sound like one.

I couldn't read this after saying the campaign is the best part.
Act 1, yeah, but hits the floor after that.

Let's say act 1 is X time to complete, Act 2 is X*2 to complete, Act 3 is X*2*2 to complete.

The thing I hate most is all of those increments are filler. There's nothing meaningful in the second or third act to warrant it; it's a slog and only increases as one until you get to mapping, which may or may not be in a great state, but is lightyears better than the gruel getting to it.

I had more fun fighting Dominus on repeat during 2012/2013.

i get that he wants a vector to improve his character. this is why ggg want magic find in the game, to have another way of scaling your character.

but speed is a problem because with speed comes idiotic gameplay, a degenerate descent into xp/orbs per hour junkie behaviour that is not really gameplay, its like a fidget spinner cosplaying as a Diablo game.

we speed up then the mobs have to speed up, you have to balance around it and then entire build achitypes become completely invalid options because they are comparatively trash in the face of the zoomies.

You talk about 20k hours. You bring up degenerate mindset. OF COURSE 20k hours is degenerate mate. That's exactly what hardcore playing is : degenerate... And it has nothing to do with the speed. Your brain may indeed have rotted, not because of the speed, but those damn 20k hours.

Real question is, would you have spent those 20k without the tools for that "degenerate mindset" to express itself. I know the answer as for myself, so does Ben, obviously.

Anyway, whatever, time will tell.

Darling, YOU literally present yourself as the one who is unable to engage in a conversation. You've said I am wrong, I asked you to tell me where and you ended up with "I won't". Cinema.

I agree with every single take in his video and none of yours.

and sometimes it feels like you actually didn't watch the video, like at the start where u point out good stuff that "he didn't touch upon", but he did.

and funny you call him out on being a redditor, meanwhile your take reflects exactly what poe2 reddit says to every single complaint about the game and brush them off as EA, as if EA didn't mean we have EA so players can help us test and figure stuff out for balancing.

-He talks about the stuff you mention and honestly no idea what you are even saying at the start

-The campaign is better because it's not tedious to buy gems etc.. while not having the currency to do so, and people were complaining about the "areas" you are praising since day one that they decided to add "checkpoints" but i guess we forgot about that, or maybe you think a waypoint that actually ruins the immersion is okay, but having a well is a must for immersion...

-Almost every single map in POE1 is fine and better than POE 2. and you forget to mention that even on the "bad layouts" you have travel skills in POE1 or ways to traverse you don't have in POE2, and while its not happening 99% of the time, you can actually miss a rare even if you are pathing correctly because some stuff don't show up unless you are literally on top of them, and when that happens and you have to walk for 3 mins on a bad layout makes most people want to exit the game. (that was his point. )

-For the bosses you forget the actual right way to play the game and actually get loot is : clear all the areas without bosses/stuff you wanna do -> use tablet on maps that have those things. and yes that can take a long time. no one who actually knows how optimize is going to use boss tablets because they are bad. (unless maybe you have 2 towers next to each other or sth) + they literally said they want people who are only interested in bosses, only be able to do bosses and well you cant do that and its worse than poe 1 somehow...

-Rare monsters : yea no, nothing drops from white and blue monsters and if they do 90%:10% ratio seems about right if you actually have played the game.

- "It's not in "Alpha" status. The fundament is established, the core mechanics are laid out and we now test these things - give feedback and GGG changes stuff or not. Hell, Over half of the game is missing."
so half the base game is missing but at the same time "core mechanics are laid out" can you decide on one ?
also he is giving feedback right now. "We haven't had many changes in the last two months? The 0.1.1 patch notes would disagree with him and holidays ma dood." if you watched 1 min of him talking or watched his 0.1.1 video you know he is talking about herald nerfs that should happen. their scope was release the game within 6months-1year. at this rate if they only wanna nerf every 3 months the game will release in 2027 while eating more resources from POE 1. + its not a league. its "half of the game is missing" so treat it as such. the backlash will be way bigger when they wait. and you can still offer free tree respecs and stuff which was half the reason people complained when they nerfed cast on x. (myself included. got to maps and went to sleep. had like 5k gold after trying to fix my gear before i start mapping. next day i wake up with 5k gold and a whole tree that was built around "freezing" stuff and no way to have actual clear, since i dont have the gold to respec. tldr you can nerf builds without making people that angry because u didn't offer them a tree reset after their whole tree got nerfed and their only other option was make a new character, which doesnt apply anymore because most people have millions of gold rn)

-The combat : you talk about "don't play x build" but at the same time "they shouldn't nerf builds rn". so like i'm supposed to be dumb and play a sub optimal build (that btw gets screwed by breach/ritual/farms 1000 times slower) because it's my job to balance the game and make combat "meaningful" ? and he did play bad builds and mentioned it in the video so again listen to the video before you react to it. (quin builds are bad btw and every single person agrees on that) also he wasn't just talking about bosses. he plays hcssf and none of his builds from what i've seen weren't actually seeing bosses. he is talking about how meaningless it is to press 1 button and clear a whole screen (mobs).meanwhile people keep talking about how meaningless poe 1 combat is and he gives examples of how many things he has to do in each. (which from my experience playing everything has been. havent played crossbows if thats very relevant)

-Waystones: because he doesn't like doing 20 empty maps then with 0 mechanics then cleanup the bad layouts then do the maps he actually wants. its tedious. people hated sextants for very similar reasons. and those map mods still exist in poe 2 (the es regen/ ele pen/ multi proj/ max res/break your armor/ all damage mods are actually worse than poe1 so idk whats ur point) except you can actually reroll them in POE1 without using ur rarest currency (chaos and anul orbs).

Could that be because the power increase from SEVEN additional levels over the max soft cap provides insane damage, so the cost has to make relative sense?" oh yes i loved how my essence drain almost did enough damage to kill monsters in a reasonable amount of time before i get surrounded and killed with over 50k ehp at gem level 35. very very strong and provides "insane damage". to even play the skill i have to use 600 mana per cast. very fun to solve... also warrior and bottom left side of the tree doesn't have any mana nodes and i'm sorry to break it to you, but dude is playing ssf and cant just "click mana on gear on trade" to actually be able to use his weapon. the only L take is actually yours, because you can actually see that you have indeed not played "non optimal builds" or in this case warrior-side of the tree. "Power in PoE2 is not free" except if you use HOI and statstacking and almost every single build that isn't warrior...

I hope GGG actually listen to people like him and ignore people like you, who brush off every single complaint a person has. mostly because i do love this game and i do want to play it in the long term. have a nice day.
