Unique items

If GGG want to make 99% of unique items utterly unusable garbage they need to rename them "collectables". Technically that's all they are. I figured in POE 2 GGG would make unique items much rarer but usable/build enabling.

If the only usable uniques are literally miracle drops or pinnacle boss drops then REAL "endgame" is pretty much out of reach of 90% of the player base. The 5-10% of players where POE is basically their career aka streamers, bots, currency flippers/sellers, no lifers etc. Control the entire market and it sucks for most players.

I don't mind personally, I like figuring out non-meta builds etc. and have 6-7k hours in POE 1. However I have suggested POE 2 to a few friends and they basically had a mediocre (a long slog) time until endgame then realized to progress they either need to craft, which is a joke realistically or hope for a miracle, which is crafting in a nut shell.

Outside of grinding 500 hours and saving all the mickey mouse currencies and identifying every item hoping for miracles there needs to be some common middle ground unique items that enable builds.

It bums me out a bit because they don't dislike the game, they just got so frustrated after 150 hours they checked out. I bring up unique items as in POE there are quite a few common unique items that are ok. POE 2 I found a shield with 50 spirit..... that is it.

I am also very sad uniques are such a fail. It's kind of impressive that they did a patch to buff uniques and they are still useless. They should make them good and more rare. I'm sick of finding the same junk uniques over and over in maps.

Now I'm so desensitized to them that I feel nothing when they drop. I just roll my eyes and force myself to disenchant them for shards. My buddy has started ignoring them completely. Funny and sad at the same time.

I mean adding 5-15 dex or 10-20 res isn't a buff anyone would care about, it's more like a slap in the kisser. I have 106 of the total 268 unique items in my stash and have used 1. Being honest 3 more might be useful max rolled. The issue is most blue items with +2 "relevant" gem level with no other modifiers on the item would be way more useful. Meh I quess it is one more thing to not pick up right lol.
They obviously like chase uniques so at this point I say make ALL uniques chase uniques. Hell we may as well call them legendaries.
