Can manage the xp penalty but lack of t16 and t17 is too much
The xp penalty is rough don’t get me wrong, but used to it and it’s mostly ok.
However, the lack of natural t16 and t17 waystones makes the Leveling so hard that combined they are just too much. We need natural t16 drops, and a route to t17 type content as well. Risk vs reward of course but we shouldn’t have to gamble for t16 at all. I guess with boss tree points we have a natural +1 tier, technically can run t18s, but the odds are just too low. Allowing a natural t16 (which we could still choose to Vaal) would solve this. Hell, at this point, I’d be ok with t16 drops being only available as corrupted waystones. Agree or actually both. T16+ waystones should be craftable as they are now and a rare drop in T15 plus maps and/or bosses. There just needs to be another way to access them.

Agree it's about a 1/6 to 1/8 chance for me to get a 16. you end up going through to many waystones.

Not sure why the focus is on XP here. The top tier loot is in these nodes. Item Level 82 drops.
I agree that these natural nodes are too rare. Also, vaal'ing maps does feel kinda rough. I think I get maybe 1 in 10 to 16. But I think that they shouldn't buff both. Either improve vaal -> 16 chances *or* increase natural nodes. Specifically corrupted, because I can clear non-corrupted and put tablets in towers to irradiate corrupted nodes. It's a drag, but at least it can be done with some measure of player control. |

I think they made T16 waystones not drop to extend the endgame in the current state of POE2. I can't see it staying that way. The lack of lvl82+ monsters is also very problematic.
At the moment, if you want to progress in any meaningful way beyond LVL 95, imo your only options are to run non-stop Breachstones or Simulacrums on high difficulty, where there are always LVL82 monsters. And even that takes forever to lvl up. |
