Early Access Acolyte of Chayula feedback
" There is a price to pay for unique mechanics. Again, for fruit-ninjas who smash keyboards, this "780" extra LIFE (I will call it life, because this is what those guys see) is very questionable. I can totally understand their point of view. But you are not actually being hit, when you are hit with this. |
" Are you referring to the comment you made on this post or a separate thread you made? Also you seem to come of as a bit hostile. If I misread that my bad but there is no need to be hostile. I think we all want to see this ascendancy and the game in general be the best it can be. |
" I honestly don't get what you mean by "fruit ninjas" at all, please be a bit more specific in what you mean compared to the subject. I know you don't get "hit" as it reserves Darkness instead and shield energy shield and life from being interacted with until the Darkness can no longer be reserved. The mechanic is unique sure, but the opportunity cost it requires in the current state of the game does not seem worth it AT ALL. As in you lose more than you gain when it comes to sacrificing spirit gem interactions and other ascendancy point options. |

This whole darkness thing is ~600 ward that recovers over 10/5 seconds. Nothing more. And it doesn't worth losing spirit.
I don't like mechanics that remove some resource completely. Any sort of conversion is always better. Gain 300% of your spirit as maximum darkness? |
" I do really enjoy Darkness being exclusive to Spirit both thematically and gameplay wise. Especially since it opens up for all 9 skill gem slots to be used, with the new weapon swap mechanic I think this'll give Acolyte a lot of cool build variations that other's might not be able to do. I just want them to make Darkness match the type of power you get from persistent auras. Ideally both defensively and offensively with full investment which atm I don't feel like is there. |
" That's because the entire chayula ascendancy is a memeclass. It's half-baked with no dev thought put into it. |
